Triage patient according to their level of healthcare needs
Respond to medical emergencies outside the hospital as part of the hospital external disaster preparedness program.
Perform all nursing procedures in accordance to the policies and protocols of the institution in the emergency department.
Participate during code blue from other nursing area (if scheduled to be part of)
Assist doctors during the performance of emergency procedures like thoracostomy tube insertion, endotracheal tube insertions, CVP insertion.
Perform orthopedic procedures like casting and back slab applications, Thomas splint applications and others to stabilize fractures.
Attend in-service trainings and seminars.
Attend continuing medical education programs of the hospital and from other health care institutions.
- INTENSIVE CARE UNIT/ CORONARY CARE UNIT

Perform a comprehensive health history and physical assessment of the patient once admitted.
Provide a patient specific nursing care plan and the efficient performance of the planned interventions.
Perform all nursing procedures in accordance to the policies and protocols of the institution in the ICU/CCU.
Carry out doctor's prescription.
Monitor patient's vital signs and evaluate level of consciousness.
Provide simple to complex bedside care to patients.
Administer medications through different routes.
Assist doctors in the performance of various procedures like CVP insertion, endotracheal tube insertion.
Perform NGT tube insertion.
Perform comprehensive and continuous monitoring of patients on varying level of consciousness.
Escort critical patients during transfer to other healthcare institutions.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
CHARGE NURSE:
Take the full responsibility as the head of the nursing unit.
Carry out doctor’s order and make necessary referrals.
Accept and carry out telephone and verbal orders of the physician.
Receive patients from outgoing shift and endorse them to the next shift.
Supervise the medication nurse.
Assesses patient’s needs or complaints before making appropriate referrals.
MEDICATION NURSE:
Perform holistic nursing care to patients of various developmental stages.
Administer medication through different routes.
Perform blood transfusion.
Perform pre-op & post-op nursing care.
Perform tracheostomy care to patient.
Perform catheterization to both male and female patient
.Perform nursing care to patient on mechanical ventilator.
Assess neuro-vital signs of patients using the Glasgow Coma scale
Care for critically ill patients who cannot afford to be in the ICU.
Assist physicians in endo-tracheal intubation.
Assist physician in Naso-gastric tube insertion.
Assist doctor in the performance of Cardio- pulmonary resuscitation in attempting to revive patients on cardio- pulmonary arrest
I'm a degree holder in nursing. I obtained a general weighted average of 1.9030. According to the school registrar's record i was ranked 14 out of 97 graduates in nursing. I'm a passer of the 2007 Philippine Nurse Licensure Exam. I obtained a board rating of 82.60%. I've been a volunteer nurse of carigara district hospital from July 9 - September 13, 2007.
