Duties and responsibilities as structural firefighter are: Perform as a rescueman, hoseman/ hydrantman, and vehicle extrications operations for structural emergencies. Perform confined space rescue operations. Respond to all medical emergencies; rendering first aid care, including blooding pressure reading, bleeding control, splinting and bandage and help with transporting to hospital. Respond to hazardous materials emergencies; as a hazardous material technician which includes analyzing and determining potentially and dangerous hazardous materials and neutralize the material at an incident.

Was the hazardous material coordinator to ensure hazardous waste was properly label and disposed of through Haz-waste facilities.
