* Team Leadership in the Technical Department during various stages of
the project (design, engineering, execution), controlling all technical
submittals towards consultant.
* Design and Coordination of all disciplines in engineering stage with
major self-performance trades as well as over 30 subcontracting
specialist trades in high profile complex design/built projects.
* Production and Review of Tender/ IFC Drawings/ Shop drawings and
Material Submittals of Interior, Façade and Landscape.
* Overseeing the coordination between Architectural, Structural and
MEP design drawings, as well as Interior Design of various trades.
* Identifying and preparing design packages for all trades and providing
guidelines and all required information to suppliers to assure design,
code and specifications compliance. Providing subcontractors with full
info of all trade's intersection areas.
* Ensuring no discrepancies between disciplines, design compliance,
technical accuracy and feasibility, as well as scope coverage. Liaising
with consultants during review stage, organizing workshops, providing
clarifications and assuring approvals.
* Experience with various trades and materials on the façade, exterior
and interior, proficiency in all types of finishes: material properties,
installation details, transition details, and fine technical detailing.
* Facilitating in raising and resolving all technical queries related to
design/site, by supplier or construction dpt. Providing clarification,
detail design and technical solutions to various site issues. Assuring
cost and time saving, correct sequence and feasibility through
technical advice.
* Carrying out good standard of record keeping and easy reference by
maintaining a record log of drawing revisions and relevant remarks for
rejected works.
* Recording the history of all design changes from concept design,
design development, detail design to engineering.
* Tracking progress of engineering stage and reporting to management
and planning department, updating all relevant parties about
outstanding engineering deliverables and delivery forecast dates,
recording the delays and changes.
