Welding inspector (Client Representative) in railway station project

A. Conduct inspection and audit on contractor, sub contractor and other third party company
B. Review contractor Method Statement, Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) Pre Qualification Records (PQR), Certificates of all welders, Calibration certificate of welding machines and all material involved as per AWS, ASME and ISO 9001.
C. Witness for third party independent (NDT), and review radiographs and evaluation as per applicable code and acceptance criteria.
D. Conduct visual inspection of welding, dimensional check, and witness welder qualification test, mechanical testing and positive material identification.

Worked as NDT Supervisor and conduct Welding Inspection, Ultrasonic Test, Film Interpretation and evaluation of radiographs as per applicable codes and acceptance criteria and prepare accomplishment reports and other related documents.

Worked as QC Inspector and responsible for the reviewing of radiographs and documentation.
Conduct material inspection for on-site delivered materials prior to installation and usage to site. Responsible for all kind of QC inspection, testing, and inspect for the bolt tightening of high strength fasteners.

Other activities/duties involved but not limited to the following:

A. Conduct various methods of NDT in accordance with the client requirements such as Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Holiday Testing (HT) Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) on miscellaneous piping, pipelines, storage tanks, pressure vessels, other related equipment and structural components.

B. Evaluation of radiographs as per applicable codes and prepare reports and other related documents.

C. Perform On-Stream or Out of Service Inspection of storage tanks, holiday testing of underground and aboveground piping.

D. Conduct welding and visual inspection, dimensional check, witness welder’s qualification test, mechanical testing and positive material identification.
