• Developed strategies for exploring and securing strategic partnerships within the private and governmental sectors. Negotiated and finalized new business opportunities by entering into MOUs with organizations, such as General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs - Dubai, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Police Force - GHQ, Roads and Transport Authority, and RAK Economic Zone, to execute mutually agreeable strategic interests and priorities.
• Generated AED 6.2 million in revenue through 8 new partnerships that involved recruiting 116 students over two months.
• Represented CUD at the Ministry of Community Development and Canadian Business Council monthly meetings. Developed relationships with industry leaders to collaborate on future academic and corporate opportunities such workshops, seminar sessions, internships and job placement opportunities for students.
• Leveraged existing partnerships and further identified collaborative opportunities through organizing quarterly meetings and exploring mutual strategic priorities.
• Identified opportunities for CUD to develop new programs and courses to better meet the need of existing and potential partners. This includes conducting a needs assessment exercises for partners.
• Expedited the contracting process by centralizing MOU drafting, sign off, and renewal. Established a review committee to ensure legal compliance.
• Assisted Senior Management in developing ‘Endowment and Sponsorship Policy’ which aims to set a funding mechanism to support institutional needs and provide financial aid for students in need. Canadian University Dubai is the first academic institute in Dubai to launch such policy.
• Collaborated with the Chief Advancement Officer to develop and present the Outreach Business Plan to the Board of Trustees and Senior Management.
• Managed the ‘Government Employee Sponsorship’ portfolio including liaising with other departments for student registration, student progress reporting, student aptitude, and portfolio financial management. This includes working with students and sponsoring entities to further enhance the program’s value proposition. The portfolio includes 120 students.
• Created and maintained a student progress monitoring strategy to identify underperforming students and collaborate with relevant departments to improve student performance.
• Organized monthly meetings with granting institutions to report on students overall academic performance.
• Assisted the Outreach team with their International Recruitment activities by attending educational fairs internationally such as Nigeria. Met with local governmental officials and heads of leading schools overseas to explore area’s of potential collaboration.
• Project managed ‘Music of Our Voice’ gala event held at the Dubai Opera to mark the international Autism Awareness month, which contributes to promoting inclusion and understanding as part of the UAE Year of Tolerance.
