1. Barwa MANATEQ, Storage Facilities - 2016 Ongoing
Role:
Deployed as Civil Engineer for the completion of the 19 huge warehouses, 2 accommodation buildings, 13 substations, admin and community center buildings and mosque. Included infrastructure facilities, road works, drainage and sewage system, pumps rooms, guard rooms and perimeter fences. The warehouse are constructed using build-up section structural steel.

Achievements.
Reviewed and approved contractor's submittal such as Project Quality Plan, method statement, materials and suppliers, third party laboratory and mix designs and shop drawings. Carried out sampling and testing of materials and consequently reviewed test results. Provided technical advice to contractor, supervised on going works, inspected and approved the same. Issued site observations memo and NCR. Controlled and enforced conformance as per approved documents and specifications.

Role:
Assigned as Senior QA/QC Engineer-Civil and completed the construction of 128 large precast buildings for labor accommodation with courtyards, 8 dining halls, 4 mosques, restaurants and commercial buildings, communication facilities, fire pump rooms, sewage pump rooms and substations. Included in the package were the construction of asphalt roads, pavement, hard landscape, potable water, sewage, firefighting systems, irrigation, road gulley and soak-away and parking areas.

Achievements:
Prepared quality reports and areas of concern during regular progress meetings attended by the client, contractor and the rest of stakeholders. Reviewed and approved materials and suppliers. Drafted and authored document formats and checklists. Handled seminar and provided technical straining with colleagues and contractors. Carried out site inspection, issued NCR and site memo, snagging and de-snagging and handing over of the project. Involved in conduct of internal and external audits based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001. Contributed to our team to earn 8 out of 10 KPI as per target during the completion phase of the project. Influenced team decision on the contractor’s issues particularly affecting the quality matters and progress. Successfully handed over the entire project.

4. Government Military Facilities - 2012 to 2013
Role:
Assigned as QA/QC Engineer for the construction of Government Military facilities. Included were the construction and completion of offices, accommodation, workshops, ancillary, communication and control stations, cooling and heating facilities, substations, asphalt roads, interlock pavement, perimeter fences, parking areas, pump rooms, holding tanks, firefighting and storm water management system.

Achievements:
Supervised the contractor during the execution of activities until completion. Arranged the inspection works and materials delivered at site. Issued NCR, site observation memos and safety issues to contractor. Made sure that execution of works were as project documents and requirements. Managed sampling and testing of materials. Liaised with client and contractor during regular quality walk through. Prepared inspection and test reports summary

Project Engineer at Sahara Trading Company

Role:
Lead the team for the supply, fabrication and installation of steel structures for the Barwa City Amenities. Arranged schedules, delivery of materials, equipment, manpower and transportation. Supervised both workshop and site team. Attended regular progress meetings with the main contractor, other sub-contractors, consultant and client.

Achievement:
Obtained approval of submittal for the materials, shop drawings, method statement and ITP, HSE Job Safety Analysis. Made sure fabrication and installation of steel columns, beams and trusses were as per schedule and approved drawing and project requirement. Arranged testing and approval of fabricated steel elements as per project specification and ASTM standard. Chaired the hiring and interview of safety officers. Resolved site issues and provided solution to general manager. Supervised the training and certification of welders. Made claims for the delivered materials and completed works from the main contractor. Initiated processing of requirement for the company's ISO 9001 certifications

Assigned as site engineer for the cut and cover of tunnels for the LRT at Lusail City. Supervised 3 foremen and 150 manpower. Arranged ordering and inventory of materials, equipment, tools and facilities. Prepared daily report for manpower, equipment and progress. Prepared and obtained approval for the lifting plan and safety work permits. Made sure execution were as per updated shop drawing. Advised project engineer for the ordering of concrete and updated progress of concrete placement.

Achievements:
Supervised the excavation, fabrication of form works, steel cages, casting of concreting and waterproofing of LRT tunnels. Successfully coordinated team efforts that exceeded target output by 150%. Used RMDK Kwikform for the form works. Managed the request of inspection of works by QDVC QA/QC team prior to inspection of the consultant.
