As Warehouse / D.C. Manager, my job involves direct communications with support teams while assisting Stores. Managing the Warehouse / Distribution Centre by developing the staff, planning for stock takes and controlling operational cost & warehouse space management. Reporting to Sr. Distribution Operations Manager and responsible for managing a team of more than 250 staff members, through a team of 13 WH Supervisors. Actively involved in the recruitment of high caliber team members & driving development of the team by encouraging the use of company resources, trainings & self-development. Accountable for the annual Distribution Centre staffing and operational budget and successfully operate within its protocols. Increased D.C. productivity by 20% in the prior financial year through maximizing all the direct activities within the Distribution Centre, motivating and building the team, regular review of SWOT and encouraging ownership and accountability within the division. Successfully reduced the overall shrinkage in the Warehouse by 15% from previous financial year by effectively planning the stock take, controlling the movements of stock and consistent review of stock transfer reconciliation including UPH & CPU.
