Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Operate the crane to the best of my knowledge and as per the manufacturer instructions.
2. Follow and abide by company rules.
3. Abide by working schedule.
4. Not by pass the SLI system of the crane unless authorized by the manufacturer.
5. Not use the crane for capacities exceeding the load charts provided by the manufacturer.
6. Insure that the crane load charts are present and consulted at all times.
7. Operate the crane properly and safely at all times.
8. Inspect the crane daily before start up and report as required by company procedures.
9. Communicate crane problems to company supervisors at any time.
10. Not operate a faulty machine or an uncontrollable system.
11. Keep the equipment in good condition.
12. Insure that no lift is performed outside the crane safe operating radius and capacity.
13. Respond to one agreed slinger / signaler at any time.
14. Respond to a recognized stop signal given by any person.
15. Seek to obtain information regarding the lift and lift planning from the client or supervisor ahead of operation.
16. Refuse to carry any unsafe operation and in case of conflict, notify company supervisor.
17. Check the ground visually and insure to the best of my knowledge that the ground under the crane is suitable and that no excavations or empty ground exist under the crane outriggers before positioning the crane.
18. Use the assigned crane mats at all times under the outriggers.

2. Responsible for checking the environment prior to setting of the crane.
3. Responsible for handling different loads in a variety of conditions and, if appropriate, crane configuration.
4. Use of proper and adequate signalling techniques.
5. Authorize to operate crane in accordance with the manufacture recommendation.
6. Authorize for routine maintenance, safety checks and inspection and completion of records.
7. Accountable for proper use and checking of crane safety devices prior to using.
8. Accountable for maintaining the crane in good order.
9. Accountable for ensuring crane is properly rigged and de-rigged according to manufacturers' instructions.
10. Accountable for the response from the signal man.
