Summary: Initially, I was completing drawings and providing Document Control support to the Manager which required high quality communication and dealings with other Engineers and Managers. The role evolved and I was involved in Quality Assurance (QA), provide support to team members and acting in place of Cad Manager during his absence.
Design
Produce specifications on site drawings and detailed drawings with accuracy such as track details, OLE, landscape, primary ducting, and other drawings based on external reference (X-Refs)
Clash-checking of drawings to finalise positioning of ducts and cables
In charge of keeping track of drawings and drawing procedures, issues and other detailed documents as spreadsheets and word documents of drawing updates
Uploading and downloading of current drawings through common platform called 4Projects and updating and coaching team members on its use.
Working alongside with Cad Manager on document control and project archives
Acting in place of the Cad Manager when required and during his absence.
Quality control
Controlling and reviewing of the latest incoming drawings, comparing it with the old drawings and making note of the changed features through systematic procedures and then updating team members and other engineers.
Reviewing drawings and reporting non-conformity to requirements to the Cad Manager
Monitoring and guiding other members of the team through quality control and quality assurance (QA/QC) procedures on CAD data and other related documents

Passed site assessment and Attained a PTS (Personal Track Safety) card to work in the Nottingham Express Transit depot site
