 Independently handling Technical proposals Including Material Take off, preparing technical annexure for getting proper quotes from vendors etc. / Commercial Proposal.
 Create trust and credibility by providing information’s, timely and reliable services.
 Ensure that necessary estimating standards, procedures and work instructions are fully updated and appropriate business controls are in place and maintained.
 Evaluate economic viability of alternative proposals for reducing the project cost.
 Monitoring usage of materials, equipment and man hrs. to ensure resources are used efficiently and costs remain within the project budget.
 Coordinating with Purchase department getting quotations & Vendor Development.
 Cost Estimate (Mechanical - Engineering, fabricated structures and equipment’s in house, site fabrication, erection, commissioning).
 Implementing estimation standards as and when require.
 Preparation of technical and commercial proposal against tender and review client specification and analyze the method of fabrication and calculate man - machine hrs. and material take - off from drawing and specification for the materials.
 Evaluating Technical and commercial qualification of sub-contractor and suppliers & evaluate their previous experience.
 Negotiation with vendors/subcontractors.
 Coordination of post-tender submission responses to clarifications raised by Client, including attending clarification meetings as required.
 Maintenance of commercial cost database and tender spreadsheet package.
 Analyze and evaluate the scope of work after the receipt of P.O. from client and preparation of Project Budget Preparation, arrange kick of meeting, prepare project costing etc. Prepare extra claims for additional scope of work during execution project.

 Preparation of Base line schedule for project at tendering stage as per scope of work using primavera P6 project planner.
 Preparation of resource planning including Manpower and Equipment (Machinery) as per project scope using as per productivity norms.
 Preparation and submission of Progress report (Weekly/monthly)/chart(S-curve/ Histogram) and submitting to Department head, Client and Main contractor.
 Liaison and consultation with the PM/SM and PE for evaluation of resource & equipment requirement for the activities to be undertaken under individual Purchase Orders, Integrated Activity Planning and Shutdown Planning.
 Estimate durations and progress measurements based on norms where available and relevant.
 Prepare schedule for the activities to be undertaken under individual Purchase Orders in accordance with the Planning & Project Management System, issue baseline and progress updates including communicating with Company on the work status in the Company supplied tool set (SAP / Primavera 6.0) and attending progress meetings.
 Planning for the long and short-term resource requirements based on workload forecasts for annual, 90 days and 40 days plan issued by Company. Maintain plan windows with associated plan update frequencies as noted below:
(i.) Organize and lead internal planning meetings with SM, WC, PE, etc.
(ii.) Ensure that at all times latest plans are available with the sub-contractors and / or vendors and issues that impact schedule are communicated.
(iii.) Cost Status: Original PO Value, approved changes, latest approved PO value, Planned Value of Work, Actual Value of Work Done, total commitments, estimated value of uncommitted work, and anticipated Ultimate Net Value of Work

o Evaluating tender documents, drawings, & schedules.
o Floating Enquiries to Suppliers / Manufacturers
o Comparison Studies based on suppliers Quotations
o Negotiations with suppliers on both technical and commercial aspects of product.
o Based on Clients budget constraints for any specific project, carrying out Value engineering
studies.
o Delivering technical pricing schedules for tender submission.
o Maintaining ISO documentation, Record Keeping, Suppliers/Manufacturers Data Bank records.
o Delegating Draftsmen for quantity take offs, cross checking quantities.
o Assisting in compiling of tenders.
o Making Pre-Qualification documents, both standards as well project specific questionnaires
