• Prepare detailed accurate material, labor, equipment, subcontracts, construction facilities, etc. estimates.
• Foster relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
• Attend on-site pre-bid/proposal conferences and site visits
• Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work and accept, review, and analyze subcontractor quotes for best value
• Prepare project bid status reports and ensure compliance with all specifications and contract Statements of Work and Bid Invitations.
• Present cost estimates to meet customer proposals, providing consideration for general and special conditions.
• Post Contract works such as preparation of work packages to be issued on different departments as reference for new projects.
• Maintain an accurate, current database cost codes of accounts for historical data
• Review Company jobs and compare on a timely basis to as-sold estimates to confirm accuracy of estimate.
• Utilize the appropriate company and industry historical data for pricing estimates
• Understand the project/program and its requirements.
• Gather first-hand information from sites, warehouses or other venues.
• Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times etc.
• Prepare scope specifications and requirements, prepare and inputs project schedules, perform quantity takeoffs, prepare cost summary sheets, and input quantities into estimating software
• Determine key variables for cost and other estimates.
• Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors
• Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)

Working as a part of a busy team, taking responsibility for several schemes at differing stages and working with limited supervisions. The workload includes all Joinery and finishes of yachts interior, new buildings refurbishment projects, new villas etc. All duties & responsibilities as follows.
• Preparing project tender and annexures.
• Responsible for managing all project cost from pitch to completion.
• Undertaking cost analysis
• Post Contract
• Inspecting and then valuing completed work.
• Working on a number of build projects at any one time.
• Developing strong relationship with the client and sub-contractors.
Through a series of units dealing with different architectural issues and building types (Representation; Landscape; Dwelling; Commerce and Industry; Public Institutions; Sacred Spaces), students will be introduced to ideas and problems that affect the way in which the built environment has been and continues to be shaped in a variety of historical and cultural contexts. We will think broadly about how the spaces that people move through and inhabit in their daily lives shape and are shaped by human behavior, cultural identity, political experience, and the currents of historical circumstance. Contemporary buildings and projects will figure prominently as examples of how designers currently approach architectural, structural and urban problems. Local sites will serve as case-studies for the analysis of different aspects of the built environment. This class is taught in a seminar format with students evaluated on their class participation and assigned projects. Readings and projects will introduce students to a variety of techniques for analyzing and representing the built environment, providing the basic tools for subsequent architectural research and studies.
