• To carry out tests on incoming raw materials and products to ensure quality as per applicable internal and external standards.
• Monitoring and reporting of test results to other relevant functions to enable corrections to the process and support continuous improvements.
• To carry out calibration of measuring and monitoring equipments to adhere to calibration schedule.
• Evaluate and analyse test results and to recommend corrective actions for non-conforming products.
• To carryout 5 S working practices in test area and Laboratory to ensure safe and efficient work environment.
• To assist in customer witnessed inspections to ensure customer requirements are met.

1. Testing of Sacrificial Anodes for Cathodic Protection
a. Electrochemical Property Test
 Conduct preparation of reagents and set-up in determination of closed Circuit potential, current capacity and efficiency.
b. Physical Inspection of Sacrificial anodes
 checking of proper weights and dimensions based on standards and anode types
 checking of appearance(free from surface slag, cracks, cold laps, gas holes and other solidification and pouring technique on casting related defects)
c. Core Bond Testing
 checking the axis of the strap to ensure that no discontinuity or void in the bonding of the anode material and the steel core
2. Supervise and testing the quality of materials, in process and finished products of industrial chemicals.

4. Ensures also that the chemical reagents used in the analysis is available at all times.
5. Perform accurate documentation of data, observed and maintain cleanliness of workplace, laboratory equipments and glass wares in accordance with 5S system and standards.

1. Organizes and prepares all process sheets and all pack cards accurately and
ahead of production schedule.

b) Inventory Reports chemicals and dyes
c) Daily Usages chemical and dyes
8. Ensures orderliness and cleanliness of the laboratory and the office of the Leather Technologist.
9. Assumes responsibility for the Wet End section whenever the foreman is not present.
10. Performs other duties as assigned by the Leather Technologist from time to time.
11. Performs preventive maintenance on all machines, tools, and equipments.
