Job Description

•Developing detailed scope for turnaround and shutdowns referring equipment drawings, NDT results, international codes & previous inspection history
•Providing bill of material of stationary equipment for Turnarounds & shutdown in line with approved drawing and International code requirement
•Providing alternate compactable material for repair in case of original material is not available
• Technical evaluation of the Materials & Projects
•Developing scope for the temporary repairs on piping and pressure vessels & Tanks
•Review of temporary Repair, online leak sealing clamp design & Nonmetallic wrapping methods
•Coordinating & leading for Management of change(MOC) related to temporary repairs & stationary equipment change
•Conducting Risk assessment for MOC
•Follow up with Operations/Production for due equipment’s for Internal inspection
•Performing daily run & maintenance inspections and updating inspection findings, Bill of material and recommendations in SAP
•Creating Notification in SAP for due equipment’s and proactive inspection findings and recommendations.
•Executing planned and unplanned integrity inspection programs.
•Carrying out external visual inspection prior to shut down for the static equipment including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns and tanks etc.
•Carrying out initial, detailed and final internal visual inspection complemented with NDT examination for the static equipment’s including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, stacks and tanks etc..
•Inspect any completed repairs, modifications and/or replacement.
•Review the data and recommends necessary repairs or replacement.
•Follow up repair works with maintenance and document all inspection findings.
•Inspecting plant stationary equipment, including pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, tanks, and valves and piping systems throughout the plant.
•Enters equipment, observes conditions and makes preliminary interpretations.
•Assist in testing and certifying welders and welding procedures.
•Prepares inspection reports in Merdium with all findings, abnormalities and recommendations.
•Carries out regular external visual examinations complemented with NDT examination as required on equipment such as vessels, heat exchangers, piping, according to Company established policies and procedures and issues inspection reports.
• Inspects plant stationary equipment by entering into vessels and towers, during shutdowns, to check condition of equipment. Includes noting observations on cracks, pits, thinning and any other pattern of erosion, corrosion and other interior failure.
•Preparing Scope of work for Turnaround on the basis of inspection history and inspection input
•Provide material specification and spare part specification for stationary equipment
•Preparing temporary repair scope of work for leakage in piping and tanks
•Checks condition of safety relief valves, and report’s findings
•Witness hydrostatic tests and pneumatic tests on pressure equipment, valves and pipelines as per approved procedure.
• Upon failures of equipment, inspect material and assist in the preliminary failure assessments; prepare report and issue recommendations
•Inspects maintenance and capital project works being carried out in the plant, to ensure that specified maintenance practices and procedures are followed for welding, installation and fabrication as per policy and in compliance with international fabrication codes and standard.

•Supervision and coordination of all on-stream and shutdown inspection/NDT activities of plant equipments, piping, pipelines & tanks.
•Identifying areas of special concern and deterioration (e.g., dead legs, injection points, buried piping, corrosion under insulation (CUI), erosion & corrosion/erosion), preparation of inspection checklist.
