AREAS OF SPECIALIZATION
•Electrical distribution system design considering all techno-commercial aspects.
•Preparation of Electrical design basis, Technical Specifications, Conceptual design report, Basis for design report and FEED report.
•Good Knowledge about power system studies i.e. Load flow, short circuit, Motor starting (Static and Dynamic), Motor reacceleration and restarting studies, Capacitor Cal., Earthing and relay coordination using ETAP (V 19.0).
•Electrical equipment sizing and preparation of requisition (MR and PR) for Electrical equipment’s and Special Systems/Packages and Technical Bid Analysis for Equipment’s and Special System’s sizing Calculations (Earthing, Lighting, Lightening Risk Analysis etc) design
•Preparation of SLD, Protection and Metering SLDs, Protection BLDs, Control schemes and Protection Relay settings etc.
•Selection of Electrical Equipment’s in Hazardous area and clean rooms. Ex n Motor Risk assessment.
•Scope of work for special packages, Interface and review e.g. Cathodic Protection system, Heat tracing for piping and Pipelines, HVAC system, Mechanical Package, Instrument Package etc.
•Telecom System: Scope of work and supply for Telecom system (PA, Paging, Intercom, CCTV system), Vendor Technical Bid evaluation, Vendor print review, Telecom layout preparation.
•Participation of the reviews like SAFOP (Electrical safety review), Design Review, HAZOP (hazard and Operability study) reviews.
•Vendor documents review and interface including the Electrical equipment’s and the Package items, Technical support to Construction and commissioning team.
•Well conversant with the International standards IEC, IEEE and IS standards.
•Well conversant with end users like OSID guidelines, Shell DEP guidelines, ADNOC, KOC and ORPIC standards and other Oil and Gas etc
