Design Evaluation: Assess design options, benchmark costs, and track budget im-
pacts.

Duties and Responsibilities

Pre & Post contract QS - Lead Consultant / Project Management Office of Real Estate Developer

✓ Preparation of BOQ. Reviewing drawings and specifications. Preparing technical clarifications to design teams regarding discrepancies & missing coordinations in drawings, incorporating the changes after response.
✓ Value engineering and comparing different options
✓ Change control procedures, preparation of addition & omission boq, evaluating change, certifying progress payments, contract administration, verifying quantities, etc.
✓ Early product sourcing estimates / planning.
✓ Review of BOQ’s prepared by third party QS consultant and making necessary modifications, and ensures that they are according to drawings and specifications.
✓ Preparation of detailed quantity take off for budgeting, as well for modifying budgets where cost overrun chances are more.
✓ Assisting head of project management and cost control in finalizing budgets, modifying existing budgets. Takes off actual quantities installed in the field and compares same with the tender drawings.

Duties and Responsibilities Pre-contract QS - Consultancy
✓ Assist Manager in Preparation of Cost Estimate (Concept Stage) and Cost Plan (Schematic Stage). Preparation of BOQ based on Detailed design draw- ing / Tender drawing, and Assist Manager in the preparation of Priced BOQ.
✓ Measurement of Quantities: Structural, Architectural, ID, FFE, Facade/Elevation, Landscaping, etc.
✓ Make sure that the BOQ is prepared based on project specifications, CSI codes and standards, material selection and construction engineering.
✓ Review the Bill of Quantities and the contract documents for each section of the construction task.
✓ Review for any possible duplication between the various cost items and mak- ing necessary adjustment.

Quantity Surveying Engineer(Civil Works) in Tendering / Pre -Contract, as well as Post Contract / Project QS duties in multi storied Building Projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

Tendering / Pre-contract
 Prepare Project summary, Briefing details of the scope of works, Built up area, floor wise & room description, type of finishes, subcontract items, key terms & conditions of contract.
 Prepare accurate and detailed Quantity take off as well as construction cost estimates of structure & finishes as per tender drawings and specifications. Any discrepancy found in BOQ or drawings will be noted. Additional items will added to BOQ. Clarifications/discrepancies will be ad-dressed to the client/consultant.
 Identify subcontract element in the tender and float enquiries for obtaining quotation. Evaluates the offers from the subcontractors.
 Ensure that clarifications are raised well in time to get better clarity on bid submission. Co-ordinate & follow-up to ensuring post bid clarifications are addressed. All in-house co-ordination for preparation of bid including follow-up, collection of input from various sub-contractors.
 Clear understanding of work scope & best estimation as well as pricing with respect to execution of project. Research regional pricing of material and labor using published documents and market data. Produce detailed quantity take-offs using PLANSWIFT and AutoCAD. Maintain cost information as point of comparison to market data
 Ensure the Estimate is built up methodically and in sufficient detail and is in accordance with good estimating practice. Sufficient explanatory notes are to be including referring the location of supplementary information.
 Assist Proposals Manager in the identification, evaluation and ranking of risks as well as developing a strategy to manage and mitigate the risks to Company. Prepare detailed bid analysis and review sessions with project team and senior management.
 When requested, carry out peer review of estimates compiled by others, checking for completeness, pricing accuracy and adequate manning and resource requirements.

Project / Post-contract
 Review, analyze and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, bills of quantity and specifications to facilitate or undertake detailed take-offs in the format prescribed by the project method of measurement, Prepare and submit interim/monthly payment applications to consultant/client and expedite payment certificates; variation orders (cost proposals) with the client/consultant, subcontract or supplier commercial bid analysis for approval as and when required.
 Visit sites and undertake any physical site measurements as may be required to secure full and detailed measurement records which may include making photographic records as directed.
 Prepare resource allowable for the project management team, material wastage reports to the project management and commercial tracking schedules identified by senior commercial staff.
 Research and provide necessary data to support claim submissions or defense of claims against the Company, as may be requested by senior commercial staff.
 Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Interpreting/Taking out quantities from GFC drawings, necessary bar bending schedule preparation, and detailed take offs in the format pre-scribed by the Project contract method of measurement and calculating for running account/Interim Payment bill.
 Checking and recording quantity of work done for Interim Payment bill.
 Client, Subcontract & Piece rate work contractors billing, Evaluating & processing vendor claims.
 Subcontract & Piece rate work contractors BOQ preparation and costing analysis, Awarding of works/contracts, Work Order creation etc.
 Evaluation of Quotation technically & commercially
 Measuring completed works, preparing and processing payment certifi-cates to do the payment for subcontractors.

 Using SAP ERP software for all kind of subcontracting activities.
 Coordination with other Project Departments such as Planning, Site Engineers, QC, Store dept. &
Accounts dept. to ensure satisfactory commercial support.
 Undertaking all the tasks described by the Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor.
 Budget preparation, Preparing and analyzing costing for budget
 Provide monthly reconciliations and analysis reports including commentary on budget vs actual variance as required.

Pavi Group was the main contractor of this 12, 000 sq. ft. auditorium project including finishing in Lump sum Contract.
