Supervises the day to day shutdown works, overload, system convention works in varies voltage Levels.
Designing of transmission equipment system for implementation and expansion plans following the existing, proven practices and DEWA standards
Conducting weekly training and safety classes for Engineers and Supervisors. Conducting tool box talks and maintaining the safety practice at site and update the records.
Daily site inspection for work status checking and ensure the works done as per DEWA Standards.
Investigates and troubleshoots maintenance problems. Implements fault-finding routines and procedures, diagnoses problems and takes appropriate action including devising and implementing solutions, referring to other disciplines, recommending external expert assistance.
Preparing weekly and monthly reports based on specific Sr.Management requirements.
Commissioning of 6.6, 11kV and 33kV Power Cables, Over Head Lines and substations
Commissioning for 11kV Cables’ first leg contingency or overloaded ring, relieving overloaded 33kV S/S, voltage system conversion, customers to release power supply, future use along roads projects, for load transfer, miscellaneous works (system improvements), Cable Reinforcement - Replacing of existing different type and size of cables (PILC, XLPE, AEG). And Install new Cables as per load matching.
i. Testing & Commissioning activities of Transformers (Power & Distribution)
ii. Periodic maintenance of Generators & Transformers
iii. Transformer’s commissioning tests such as meggering, oil purity break down tests. Ratio tests, SC and OC tests
iv. Testing and Commissioning of Sub Stations equipments like CT’s, PT’s testing and commissioning LT& HT switch gears ranging from 440 V, 11 kV, 6.6 kV, 110 kV and 220 kV SF6 Circuit Breakers, Air circuit breakers, Vacuum circuit breakers and Oil circuit breakers
v. Commissioning testing of generator and feeder relays of Power Station
vi. Making drawings for control wiring such as for isolator and breakers, hooters and their auxiliary relays.
vii. Testing and working knowledge of different types of protective relays (ABB, BBC, GEC etc.)
viii. Operation, trouble shooting and maintenance of microprocessor control auto mains failure panels and control panels.
ix. Testing and maintenance of different types of motors (ac and dc) and plc controllers.
x. High voltage testing of cables PILC, XLPE up to 33kv
xi. Preventive and shutdown maintenance of ups, MCC's, PCC's, battery charger and daily log book keeping of sub stations.
xii. Maintenance and trouble shootings DOL starters star delta starters.
Have knowledge in electrical generation and distribution systems.
