● Assist in vendor evaluation, selection, performance, tooling/product and follow-up.
● Monitored and obligated budget expenditures; evaluated supply needs and managed equipment service procurement actions, nil stock monitoring etc.
● Verify removals of aircraft spares done in accordance to the various instruction cards and ensure that the required work scope is carried out.
● Identify and analyze the pattern of unscheduled removals, repair history and scrap history.
● Lead process improvements intended to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
● Ability to multi task and organize a team to work efficiently and productively.
● Approving repair orders, scrutinize warranty claims and verify the desired work scope has been called out.
● Review Component/Power plant Cost of Repairs and take the matter with the vendor in an effort to reduce the Cost of Repairs.
● Summarize the difficulties and problems during routine work in time, and prepare corresponding document for it, weekly and monthly report.
● QAD - Ensuring the MR’s for serviceable units are compiled before being credited to the stock.
● Prioritizing components based on criticality, stock levels and fleet improvement programs.
● Identify, repair, or replace damaged parts/components. Reviewing scrap / disposal cases.
● Evaluating the scope of getting the robbed units made serviceable in the most cost effective way through weighing cost of procurement of sub-assemblies versus the overall repair costs.
● Track and assist in scheduling of department training program, manpower planning, inventory and warehouse management etc.
● Coordinate with stakeholders to improve the current processes, resolve discrepancies and improve the turnaround time.
● Keeps track of engineering projects in progress.
● Responsible for ensuring optimum housekeeping standards for aircraft spares. Usual work activities includes: assigning tasks to assistants, Budgeting, cost saving project management, inventory management, coordinating maintenance activities, updating records, operating various equipment’s, and ensuring safety regulations compliance.
● Ensure implementation of Product Support Agreement related to Shop Processing Time and delinquency support.
● Develops processes to accomplish the various procedures in the repair and restoration of components.
● To maintain excellent relationships with all relevant departments and persons.
● Schedule and conduct progress of repair/overhaul/modification of components at the Repair Agencies in order to ensure the completion of work within the RTAT (repair turnaround time) and at minimum cost while providing continuous support to aircraft maintenance requirements.
● Verify correctness of all Repair Cost Estimates/ Quotes / Invoices against the standard costs, Work scope, and actuals from the previous Repair Orders and with respect to any agreed deviations.
● Initiate and raise necessary warranty claims.
● Inspect incoming parts for damage and create job packages
o Accurate data entry while taking into account all the required parameters.
o Identification of components through IPC and CMM.
● Prioritizing components based on criticality and Housekeeping in accordance with QA norms.
● Maintain strong working relationship with various internal and external departments to resolve issues and discrepancies.
● Vendor communication and Reviewing Technical documentation (such as AD’s, SB’s, EO’s, BTB history, etc.)
● Ensuring disposal / scrap transactions are done as per procedure.
● Inventory management - loans, borrows, pooling and purchasing.
● Evaluation of cost estimates, warranty adjudication, nil stock component handling and robberies.
