Lead the company’s export sales and business development in the assigned regions of Europe and CIS, ensuring operations align with set budgets and sales exceed projections.
Orchestrate penetration strategies to different countries to increase profits, sales and revenue streams while ensuring products meet customer needs. Plan and allocate resources for short and long-term sales operations to optimise prospects for the achievement of set sales targets. Manage major accounts sales portfolios, servicing and growing existing business and follow-up on potential leads to increase the business’ market share. Develop best approach strategies to influence potential clients and monitor competitors’ activities and market trends to identify weaknesses in the company’s sales plan and recommend adjustments to maintain a competitive advantage.
Selected Contributions:
•Perform analysis on the organisation’s market share and macroeconomics for assigned regions to devise strategies to attract new clients and penetrate new markets.
•Analyse regional sales and profits as well as monthly financial reports to assist in decision making and recommend alternative sales strategies to the Group Export Director and Corporate Chiefs.
•Review production, inventory, and operations costs, capital and department spending as well as allocated budgets to implement cost reduction mechanisms.
•Utilise ERP systems and Oracle application to prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders to assist in decision making.
•Expanded the business to four new markets in seven months, something the company had not achieved in 50 years.
•Penetrated the MENA region, increasing brand awareness, developed a new market and grew the frequent export market.
•Identified potential export markets and explored untapped opportunities such as Private Label of Baby Diapers, facial tissues, among others.
•Negotiated tenders with International NGOs such as UN and Red Cross and assisted in the development of a three-year marketing plan to penetrate new and highly attractive markets.
•Organised exhibitions for the company’s products such as Paper Arabia, Africa Paper Mills and led corporate presentations to Humanitarian Agencies such as United Nations, International Red Cross Organization and DIHAD.
