Water Treatment Production
• Perform analysis for the product water on the such as
• HACH Portable Calorimeter II for Chlorine content
• HACH HQ30d Liquid Analyzer for pH /conductivity
• Daily/Weekly and Monthly monitoring of total Production of Water
• Monitoring and securing all the Limestone Filters levels.
• ASTM RETSCH Sieve for size particles
• Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Checking of Progress Report of the Ongoing Activity in the site area. (Water Treatment Plant)
• Ensuring the proper tag and proper KKS Code written on the permit and checking before the isolation and de-isolation jobs and assisting the supervisor in isolation and de-isolation jobs.
• Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Monitoring of Stocks/ Deliveries of Raw Materials. (Limestone and Chemicals such as Caustic Soda, Sulphuric Acid, Hydrochloric Acid, etc. and Non-Chemicals Substances such as Diesel and Grease)
• Clearing, cancellation and Updating of works under permit that is still on progress
• Plan, decide, execute and monitor the operation’s works and progress such as
• Time to Time Area Visit
• Coordination with the Maintenance Team Electrical /Civil/Mechanical/ Instrument to avoid conflicts and to prevent occurring of problems
• Scheduling of Start-Up and Shutdown activities and its Progress to meet the Supply and Demands Projection.
• Scheduling of Start up and Shutdown operation of the equipment for its preventive maintenance efficiency checking.
Plant Water analysis
• Monitoring of the Water Parameters and checking using
• HACH DR 3900 for Silica, Chloride, Total iron, Hydrazine
• HACH HQ30d Liquid Analyzer for pH /conductivity
• Monitoring of all the Boiler and Deaerator in service, stand by and in shutdown
• Monitoring of all the Pumps and Compressor ( Instrument Air and Service Air Compressor) that are in service, stand by and in shutdown
• Assisting the Operator in startup shutdown operation.
• Understand & follow the QEWC safety policy and report to Operator/Supervisor if any safety violation is observed in the field immediately for corrective action
Chemist (Water)
• Performs various laboratory procedures such as using the following
• HACH HQ 14D for conductivity,
• HACH sensION+pH1 for pH,
• HACH DR 3900 for Iron, Silica, Hydrazine, Chloride, Phosphate content of a water sample.
• Analyze the Intake and Outfall of the plant.
• Performs and Analyze the Total Suspended Solids ( TSS ) of a water sample using the Metler Toledo Weighing Scale
• Analysis and evaluation of water samples from various points in the vapor cycle to determine the chemical injection dosage and blowdown rates.
• Analysis and evaluation of effluent and influent from air heater and boiler during water washing.
• Analysis and evaluation of water on all heat exchanger equipment.
• Analysis and evaluation of corrosion and erosion effects of water and steam on the steam generator internal heating surface.
• Reports on water analysis
Chemist (Wastewater)
• Perform Laboratory Analysis for wastewater treatment such as
• HACH HQ 14D for conductivity,
• HACH sensION+pH1 for pH,
• HACH Pocket Calorimeter II / HACH DR3900 for Free Chlorine and Total Residual Chlorine Content
• Temperature
• Taking Analysis evaluation for the Oil and grease content of the wastewater
Chemist (Fuel/Coal)
• Performs laboratory experiments and proximate analysis for coal such as
• HAVER ASTM Standard Sieve/Mesh for size particles
• CKIC Bomb Calorimeter for gross calorific value
• CKIC Sulfur Analyzer for Sulfur Content
• CKIC Furnace use moisture content analysis
(surface moisture, inherent moisture, total moisture) ash content, percentage of volatile combustible matter, fixed carbon, sulfur and gross calorific value
• Analysis and evaluation of properties of coal and fuel oil delivered for storage or plant used to check conformity with standard specification.
• Analysis and evaluation of corrosion and erosion effects on fuel on the steam generator external heating surface down to the flue gas path.
• Analysis and evaluation of solid samples such as bottom ash and fly ash.
• Coordinates with Operations regarding the analysis of fuel and unburned carbon in ash.
HMI CCR Operator Water Treatment/Wastewater Treatment RO and Electro chlorination Plant
• Controll Room Operator for the Water /Waste Water Treatment RO and Electro Chlorination Plant.
• Securing the smooth and correct operations and troubleshooting in Demineralization Plant from Sand Filter to Ultra Filtration to Reverse Osmosis Plant and ion Exchange
• Securing to meet the standard parameters of the water such as Silica, and Conductivity and pH of the water produced.
• Securing that equipment of the plant is well functioning and have knowledge of troubleshooting if a problem occurs.
• Collect and Analyze data before, during and after operational duty.
• Assurance that the Chlorine Content produced on the Electro Chlorination plant has met the standards for it serves as an agent filling on the Main Plant.
As a Fuel Contamination Focal Person
