Established Asian Philippine Medical Center in Abu Dhabi in order to provide primary healthcare, preventive medicine and occupational health services. Responsible in the delivery of primary healthcare to the community by focusing on patient’s personalized care and occupational health by focusing on risk-based fitness and worker’s wellness. Ensure that high standard of primary healthcare and occupational health services are delivered to patients and clients. Involved in various occupational health services such as pre-employment and periodic medical examination, fitness assessment, return-to-work (RTW) management and assessment, etc. for Emirates Nuclear
Energy Corporation (ENEC), Wintershall, Serco, Bridges Environmental Services Company, LLC, etc.
Involved as Consultant Advisor for software concept and Quality Assurance expert for the development of “MedOne EMR”, an advanced electronic medical record (EMR) system with Bolisay Integrated System (BIS) based in Philippines. MedOne EMR has an advanced features in primary healthcare and occupational health with backend modules from Patient’s registration, appointment, patient’s health risk assessment, screening, evaluation and management (E&M), procedures, laboratory, Diagnostic, Pharmacy prescription and education installed with CPT and ICD codes approved by Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (HAAD), patient’s education and advises, follow-up system, referral and occupational health modules (OH Questionnaires, Occupational History, Exposure History, PE, fitness, work modification and restriction advices), billing, accounting, and Human Resources Management system. MedOne EMR is already 100% complete and can be modified (customizable) as per client’s requirements. MedOne EMR and HMS are systems currently used at APMC.
Responsible in the delivery of occupational health services to the company. Involve as a member of Emergency Support Team (EST) as medical advisor. Ensure that preventive as well as curative aspect of occupational health are cost effectively delivered in order to preserve workers wellness and deliver a healthy workplace. Enhancing company’s health and medical objectives through the following;
a. Primary health care consultation
b. Workplace Health Risk Assessment and recommendation
c. Health Surveillance through routine and periodic medical exam review
d. Sickness absenteeism review and management
e. Health campaign by conducting health lectures, online interactive discussion (email queries), and representing the department on various HSE meetings.
f. Formulations of health and medical protocols, medical evacuation (Medevac) procedure, guidelines and flowcharts
g. Monitoring and reporting Occupational Illness through trend analysis and statistics.
h. Patient case management and hospital in-patient follow up until return back to work.
i. Field Clinic quality assurance check and review.
j. Conduct Pre-employment and Periodic Medical Exams among candidates for employment and provide recommendation to HR or management based on employee’s physical well being in relation to the job post.
k. Conduct assessments for return-to-work (RTW) after recovery from significant injury or illness and provide recommendation to managements as required.
l. Conduct medical / health surveillance to specific high risk group exposed to certain occupational health hazards.
m. Assist the company to meet local regulation on occupational health (EHSMS)
n. Involved in Employee Assistant Program (EAP) of the company.
o. Ensure that company’s occupational health objective is achieved.
p. Monitor and follow-up in-patient hospital cases until discharged.
q. Deliberate cases for disability assessment with group company physicians and present same to Insurer for compensation.
Achievement with the company includes, updating of ADNOC Occupational Medicine Guidelines, formulation of various clinic protocols and flowcharts, Health Risk Assessment Questionnaires, Return-to-Work strategy, Colo-rectal screening program.
Responsible in setting-up two Medical Clinics at MCCI Fabrication Yard (CA and WA) and four Pipeline Clinics for offshore division (Quayside, PLBG Barge, DSV, Sangachal Beach Pull Site). Responsible in setting-up the MCCI medical systems and supervised around 17 medical doctors and allied professionals to ensure delivery of primary health care, emergency medicine, patient’s referral and occupational health services to the workforce following J. Ray McDermott - Eastern Hemisphere’s Medical Management Level II procedure and ensure its implementation and timely execution in both
Topsides (Onshore) and Pipeline / Platform Installation (Offshore) projects. Such are;

v. Conduct Pre-employment Medical Exams among candidates for employment among local Azeri personnel upon approval by the Regional HR department and grant recommendation based on employee’s physical well being as authorized by the Eastern Hemisphere Medical Director.
w. Conduct Pre-employment Medical Exams among candidates for employment among Ex-pat personnel upon approval by the Eastern Hemisphere HR Department and submit results of examinations to the Eastern Hemisphere Medical Director for final classification.
x. Conduct Pre-employment Medical Exams among candidates for employment among AIOC/BP Clients in accordance with UKOOA standard.
y. Conduct Diving Medical among divers based on (S.P.U.M.S.) South Pacific Underwater Medical Society and Royal Adelaide Hospital - Hyperbaric Unit standard for Diving Medical Examination.
z. Conduct weekly grand rounds with Yard Clinic Medical Staff.
Liaise with the Regional HR Manager and Eastern Hemisphere Medical Director on matters pertaining to medical and surgical cases that require aero-medical evacuation from Azerbaijan. Liaise with the Human Resources Manager in cases where-in a medical or surgical case requires administrative action. Responsible in providing Medical support to all remote area medical clinics such in the beach-pull project, derrick lay-barge and other vessels offshore. Responsible in referring employees of both Topsides and Pipelines to hospitals that requires further diagnostics, specialty or tertiary treatment. Responsible in following-up admitted cases in the hospital and provide report to key personnel until patient is discharge and return to work. Responsible in procuring medical consumables and medical equipment for the yard clinic within the prescribed budget of Health and Medical Affairs for the project time period.
Renders Primary Health Care, Preventive and Emergency Medicines in the fabrication yard and in offshore projects. Conduct pre and post saturation dives physical examination among divers offshore. Conduct, assist and follow-up medivaced patients to hospitals onshore. Coordinate medivaced patients with Medical Director and/or Medical Coordinator. Responsible in implementing standard Hygiene, Sanitation and Environmental Awareness in the barge/vessel. Responsible in reporting Weekly and Monthly Injury and Illness Statistics to key personnel onshore by following OSHA regulation on accident reporting. Assigned as secretary in the Monthly Safety Committee meetings being conducted regularly offshore. Participate in Behavioral Based Safety Management. Conduct Hygiene and Sanitation meetings twice a month among catering staffs. Conduct lectures on Basic First Aid, Basic life support (CPR), Medivac exercises, Heat Related Illnesses.
