Hired by ISS to assist setting up and bringing Science department and laboratories up to academic acceptable standards and requirements.
Coaching Swimming
• To create and manage a caring, supportive, purposeful and stimulating environment which is conducive to children’s learning.
• To plan and prepare lessons in order to deliver the National Curriculum ensuring breadth and balance in all subjects.
• To identify clear teaching objectives and learning outcomes, with appropriate challenge and high expectations.
• To maintain good order and discipline among the pupils, safeguarding their health and safety.
• To organise and manage groups or individual pupils ensuring differentiation of learning needs, reflecting all abilities.
• To plan opportunities to develop the social, emotional and cultural aspects of pupils’ learning.
• To maintain a regular system of monitoring, assessment, record-keeping and reporting of children’s progress.
• To prepare appropriate records for the transfer of pupils.
• To ensure effective use of support staff within the classroom, including parent helpers.
• To participate in staff meetings as required.

Further Diploma in HIgh school Education (FDE) in Educational Law, Educational Management and School Organization. A 2 year part-time course with exams at the end of each year. Similar to PGCE. B.Ed. (HDE) Biology. Topics covered: Zoology, Botany, Environmental Science, Population Dynamics, Ecology, Human physiology, microbiology, genetics. It was a 4 year course with intensive training with the focus to be a teacher. Every year 3 months were spend as assistant teachers to professional experienced biology teachers. At the end of the 4 years training, I have already spend a year as an assistant teacher, learning from teachers, teaching as a teacher while observed. All documentation authenticated by South African board.
