PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN: JOB DESCRIPTION / DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Oversee and care for disabled children inside the healthcare facility
 Bathe, dress and feed disabled children
 Does oral care regularly
 GT (gastrostomy tube) feeding every 4hours is given
 Arrange formulas and change diapers from time to time
 Changing of bed sheets, linens, blankets and pillow cases
 Clean and sanitize children’s room
 Assist in physiotherapy and physical therapy session everyday
 Monitor children’s vital signs as needed
 Maintain a clean and hygienic environment inside the facility
 Take part in the children’s activities such as outing, games, amusing and exercises
 Observe children’s behavior and make reports for caregiving
 Always reports any bruises, wounds, seizures or any other unusual behavior of the child to the clinic / professional nurses
 Keep records of everyday activities and health information such as stool, urine and seizures
 Giving Oral medications every meal
 Topical medications are given as needed
 Always prepare oxygen tanks in case of emergency
 Bringing children and taking care of them while admitted in the hospital
 Teach children in proper hygiene and social development
 Participate in the emotional well-being of the children
 Discipline them as requested by the parents
 Changing of clothes at night after dinner and assist children to bed
 Special and extra care is given to the patients
