DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for maintaining care standards in the emergency room.
Assist ER resident’s doctor in checking patients, recording vital signs and reporting any untoward signs and symptoms.
Administering medications; Oral, Intramuscular injections, and Intravenous (IV Fluids/ Emergency Drugs) as per doctor’s instructions.
Maintaining contact with laboratory personnel extracts blood samples for laboratory use and collects other specimens required.
Working closely with physicians in various procedures like minor suturing, wound dressing, cast application etc.
Responsible in doing triage work during a Mass Casualty Disaster.
Being part on the code team during emergency situations, assisting in intubation, defibrillation and CPR.
Making arrangements and referrals for patients that are deemed to need care requiring them to be admitted to the hospital.
Assist in healthcare professionals in the management of patient's health and to provide direct care using specialized knowledge and skills in nursing intervention. Provide health promotion, counselling and education. Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions. Proper documentation for interventions rendered as a basis of continuity of care. Interpret patient information and make critical decisions about needed actions. Coordinate care, in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Direct and supervise care delivered by other healthcare personnel like LPNs and nurse aide
Graduated with Degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Passed the Philippines Licensure Exam for Nurses post graduation of same year.)
