• Perform troubleshooting (fault finding) in all electrical circuit failures and electrical equipments.
• Perform preventive maintenance in all major electrical equipments such as Generators, Transformers, SFC (Static Frequency Converter), Circuit breakers (SF6, Vacuum, Oil, Air), Switchgears, (240v, 480v, 6.9kv and 13.8kv) AC and DC Motors, Heaters, MOV’s, HRSG’s, Contactors, Relays, Batteries and Chargers, switches and other electrical equipments and devices.
• Conduct testing on electrical systems such as resistance testing, IR testing, Continuity testing, Voltage and Current testing etc. using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
• Responsible for installation, testing, repair and maintain electrical equipments and devices in a variety of settings.
• Designing and modifying motor power control equipment circuits if needed, reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Inspect electrical system, equipments and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustments or repair to ensure electrical safety.
• Conduct annual simulations and protection testing on Generator, turbine and transformer protection to ensure all the safety of equipments using protection simulator.
• Perform electrical installation and modification in all additional electrical plan secondary circuits and upgrades of the system.
• Recommends ideas and suggestions to prevent breakdown occurrence and do root cause analysis.
• Daily monitoring of all electrical system inside the plant and report some abnormalities and failures to supervisor to avoid major breakdown of equipments.
• Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
• Making ensure of accurate and appropriate completion of all preventive maintenance duties with high level of work standards and proper housekeeping in the workplace.
• Report daily progress on activities and accomplishments to shift supervisor.

Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Technician at Palawan Power Generation Inc.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Generators, Exciters, Motors, Batteries and Chargers, Transformers, Switchgears, Heaters, Outlets, Switches, Relays, Contactors, Temperature and pressure Gauges, Sensors, Transducers and other electrical instrument equipments and devices.
• Install, replace and calibrate Pressure and Temperature Gauges, regulators, Thermocouple, Sensors, Transmitters and other electrical instruments and devices used for operation, Monitoring and Alarms.
• Inspection and simulation of all Engine and Generator protections and alarms to ensure that all protections will work during occurrence of faults and failures.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuit failures and problems, replace faulty section of wirings, lay conduits, install and replace lighting fixtures, outlets, circuit breakers, Contactors, relays, switches and other electrical components.
• Inspect and daily monitoring of all electrical systems, instruments parameters and devices to make sure that all parameters are in good normal conditions.
• Conduct testing’s in all electrical and instrument equipment and devices such as IR and PI testing on motors, calibration, Resistance testing, continuity test, Vibration testing, Voltage and Current testing using testing devices such as clamp meter, ohmmeter, volt meter, IR tester (MEGGER) Vibration meter, Frequency meter to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
• Assist in Daily monitoring and operate Alfa Laval Purifiers (HFO and L.O.)
• Assist in mechanical works during conducting Preventive and Corrective maintenance schedule of main engine. Experience to pull out cylinder heads, Pistons, Piston rings, Connecting rods, Con. Rod Bearings, Injection pumps, Main bearings etc. during major overhaul of main engine (24000r/hrs).
• Recommends ideas and suggestions to prevent breakdown occurrence and do root cause analysis.
• Ensure proper housekeeping in the workplace.
• Perform other task and activities assigned by supervisor in accordance with safety precautions within the constraints of job.
• Submit daily report of abnormalities, failures and near miss incident related on the workplace to the Shift in charge or supervisor.
