Current Responsibilities:
• Handle & Monitor team of four (4) E&I engineers at Singapore office and three (3) E&I engineers at Chennai, India office apart from three (3) Drafting Designers. Offshore E&I Team are positioned to expand further.
• Ability to handle Work share projects as a Lead Engineer role independently
• Ensure good project management standards & practices are implemented at all times, including material procurement, project implementation phase, up to successful commissioning of the project at customer site.
• Review project specification & highlight technical query/deviation & perform basic design & detail engineering including preparation of engineering documents & drawings in accordance with project requirements & specification; handle selection & sizing of flow elements, final control elements & other instruments.
• Liaise with client for kick off meetings, clarification/technical discussion and instrument & control conceptualization for projects.
• Prepare, Review and approve and Ensure Basic Engineering & Detailed Engineering deliverables are submitted as per schedule from RFQ through as built stage.
(Instrument datasheets, Instrument Index, I/O Lists, Cause & Effect matrix, Cable schedule, Hook-up Drawings, JB termination & wiring connection drawings, Instrument Location & Layout, Cause & Effect diagram and Logic diagrams., List for Electrical / Instrument, Auxiliary Equipment’s in Hazardous Areas / ATEX Register)
• Verify the calculations for the orifice plate bore, control valve CV, and PSV’s, etc.
• Prepare, Review & approve interfaces for ICSS - PCS/SIS/FGS and systems
• Prepare and issue Material Requisition for all instruments, carry out Technical Bid Evaluation.
• Evaluate vendors quote to ensure specification & documentation compliance & assist in procuring instruments in accordance with project requirement & applicable codes.
• Review Subcontractors/vendor’s documentation to ensure conformance with project requirements as well conduct staged inspection at Subcontractors workshop/inspection of received goods.
• Ensure to adherence of the clients Quality Management System, establish and follow the clients QA plans.
• Review of P&ID’s, Isometric drawings and 3-D modelling.
• Conduct Technical Bid Evaluation & Recommendation for all electrical & instrumentation as project specific requirements
• Participate in FAT, SAT and ensure compliance as per client requirement
• Assist and Liaise with Project, Production, QA/QC and Commissioning team members with any Technical clarification as required.
• Assist and participate in technical & manpower estimation for Proposal Preparation for bidding of E-houses, Compressor and Power generation Packages.
