Working closely with manufacturing, operations and quality managers for reviews, and monitoring quality and process improvements and new product development.
Direct appropriate support for manufacturing and quality functions within the organization.
Responsible for the overall direction, co-ordination and evaluation of engineering staff.
Follow company policies and guidelines.
Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training of staff.
Assigning and directing workload to staff.
Writing of performance reviews and solving internal issues.

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.

To plan, organize and execute and close out maintenance shutdowns, as required by the client maintenance schedule.

Job Objectives: Obtain original scope of work and applicable documentation from client.
Review plan and optimize logic / duration of shutdown.
Validate plan with client and other service providers.
Implement tracking systems and working sheets for instruments, statutory inspections, defects and punching.
Determine manpower from histograms and communicate to HR officer.
Determine tools and hired equipment requirements for the shutdown.
Ensure all pre-shut subcontractor activities are completed at commencement of shutdown.
Ensure all isolation, instrumentation, vessel entry tags and blanks are on site before shut.
Ensure all foremen are aware of their responsibilities that are detailed in their work packs.
Ensure that production agree to positive isolation, steam out blanking list and procedure.
Check on client supplied consumables and materials.
Check all torqueing equipment and ensure that all the repairs are made pre-shut.
Hang all tracking sheets and a copy of the validated plan in the engineering office.
Chair the nightshift handover meetings.
Manage and discuss activities with supervisors.
Attend any PDA’s that may arise during the shutdown.
Give accurate progress feedback to the client.
Ensure successful compliance to the plan.
Sign off accepted work after inspecting each flange that was worked on.
Obtain signatures for pertinent documentation.
Compile handover file for client which includes all certificates, punch lists and a detailed close out report.

Review staff qualifications and CVs to ensure that they are qualified for the Project at hand.
Put into place quality assurance procedures to ensure that procedures for review and inspection of installations are maintained throughout the project period.
Ensure that contractor understands the contract documents including drawings / specs, phase plans, MEP system interrelationships, workflow and schedule.
Review materials and equipment to ensure that they are in accordance with the Saudi Aramco specifications.
Address problems that might develop between consultant / subcontractors and client.
Coordinate with consultant on reviews for shop drawings, MEP related designs, HVAC, Fire Alarm / Fighting & provide solution options.
Assist in MEP, HVAC / Fire Alarm & Fire Fighting submittals - comments and submittals.
Log and post all MEP changes into field drawings.
Review installation of MEP, HVAC, Fire Alarm / Fighting works.
Direct, monitor & control MEP contractor activities.
Coordinate and manage MEP related materials, systems & shop drawings and submittals.
Review scope of work for contractor including budgeting and justification of MEP change work order.
Liaison with MEP consultants, engineers and subcontractors.
Review the minutes of meetings.
Provide cost estimate support for maintenance projects.
Ensure MEP Subcontractors adhere with relevant Quality
Records / regulations including safety.
Monitor and report MEP work progress.
Review drawings submitted by main contractor and verify bill of quantities.
Review contractor monthly progress valuation of MEP work prior to invoicing.
Verify contractor valuation invoices.
Test and assist commissioning of MEP equipment on sites.
Witness testing, commissioning and performance of various plant and systems.
Issue 'Handing Over' certificate for completed works.
