Supervises the installation, maintenance, repair and testing of a wide range of mechanical stationary and rotating equipment in the plant, such as turbo machinery, gas and steam turbines, pumps, compressors, furnaces, heat exchangers, marine loading arms, steam generators, designators, reclaimed, pumps, reactors, conveyors, hydraulic equipment’s etc.
Includes monitoring of work execution and providing guidance and technical advice to ensure conformity to statutory and company regulations and adopting practices commensurate with company's HSE manual, dealing personally with more complex maintenance, and participating in shutdown and turnaround maintenance planning and execution activities and participates in the expansions/modifications of plant equipment.
Performs supervisory function and exercises financial authority at a level established by management for the position.
To perform and participate in the trouble shooting maintenance activities of the plant rotating equipment including pumps, centrifugal/Reciprocating compressors, steam turbines, Gas Turbines, fans, blowers, and high speed centrifugal air compressors packages
To act as discipline focal point for championing and promoting improvements in asset reliability and availability through improvements to management systems and processes, working practices and equipment studies including obsolescence reviews and incident investigations.
To perform troubleshooting, field activities, and maintenance activities for the all gas turbines including all auxiliary systems, particularly frame 5 GE gas turbines
Perform hands on repair, overhaul, combustion inspection activities, baroscopic inspection, online/offline washing, gas turbine alignment, and all auxiliary systems maintenance. Maintain the history maintenance records.
Lead a team for design, specification, sizing, and selection of instruments and equipment required for oil and gas field by controlling and monitoring them e.g pump, compressors, valves, field communication system control system, safety system
Review the detailed engineering schedule provided by the vendors relative to mechanical work to ensure completeness, proper organization of work activities, and reasonableness of time frames and ensure that the associated planning is able to meet the project requirements.
Intensive knowledge in selection of the most appropriate types of equipment, calculation of their size and capacity.
Scheme of capital development and oil and gas field infrastructure development projects, understanding the sequence of project implementation stages and elaboration of design and estimate documentation at Conceptual, Pre-FEED, FEED Detailed Design stages. Well conversant with design standards for vessels and heat exchangers such as ASME VIII div 1, BS PD 5500, WRC-107/297, TEMA “R”, API660, API661, API650, API620.
Ensure that all mechanical deliverables are reviewed and comments/approvals issued in accordance with the specified time frames and other provisions of the contract.
Ensure all design aspects are as per the company's specification
Fully understand mechanical the company HSE policy, procedures, regulations and objectives as they relate to area of responsibility. Ensures that work under control is performed in a safe and environmentally sound
Development of PFD, P & ID, Plot Plans, preparation of Equipment Data Sheets, specifications for design, manufacture andtesting of equipment.
Assist and contribute to the development of static equipment policies and maintenance procedures, provide expert mechanical engineering guidance when required and troubleshooting capability.
Ensure that Service Orders are raised on Specialist Vendors and that mobilization dates are scheduled in line with planned dates
Provide Mechanical Engineering input to the Operations Management of Change process including review of proposals, specification of mechanical equipment in particular static equipment items.
Trouble-shooting the design, identifying and resolving issues with engineering and/or fabricator by raising and resolution of Site/Technical Queries.
Maintains first-level quality assurance to confirm that the installations of all static and equipment and support systems in accordance with the plans, specifications, and industry standards
