Reporting to the Chief Distribution Officer, manage and scale up assigned bank / affinity relationships for corporate lines of business; manage bancassurance sales; launch specialised corporate bancassurance products; manage costs and provide operational support and infrastructure for a rapidly growing business; maintain a balanced and profitable portfolio; maintain focus on bancassurance modelling / underwriting for profit.
Reporting to a Board of Directors and to the CEO Qatar Insurance Company International LLC, accountable for managing the local subsidiary of Qatar Insurance Company in Oman (2014 GWP USD 50M+). Responsible for top line growth and bottom line result. Seeking to achieve controlled, profitable growth through active management of the sales, technical, financial and operational performance of the company. Providing leadership to circa 55 staff across 5 locations.
Leading the sales and operational functions within QFCRA licensed international risk consultant. This included the integration of the 'acquired' HSBC Insurance business and team (see below).
Country Head of insurance broking operation regulated by Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority. Initially, I project managed the start-up operation along with members of senior regional team. HSBC Group eventually sold HSBC Insurance Brokers Ltd to Marsh Insurance Group in early 2010.
Based at Asia & Middle East Regional Support Office
reporting to the Regional HR Director, I was responsible for driving the delivery of the global Corporate HR agenda across the Middle East Region.
Based at Middle East Regional Office Dubai responsible for the management of the Abu Dhabi Operation, HR and regional training and development across Middle East.
This was the Associate Company of Sun Alliance Insurance, UK. Based at Jeddah Branch, I was responsible for the day to day running of the office functions including Branch Underwriting and Claims Departments. I was also also responsible for running the regional Y2K (Business Continuity) Project in 1999 in close cooperation with the Sun Alliance HQ in UK.
Responsible for managing the insurance programmes of a portfolio of corporate clients for this Lloyds’ Broker.
Based at Central London Branch responsible for underwriting direct business and broker development.
