- Lead Marketing and Communications activities throughout 8 country offices
- Re-launched the Orbit brand with a new, more compelling positioning following extensive research undergone across key markets.
- This resulted in a dramatic increase in brand awareness, reversed negative brand image perceptions and strengthened brand equity and sales.
- In June 2002 Orbit was recognized as the strongest brand in the TV category in the UAE (terrestrial or satellite) and received the prestigious “Superbrands” award on an exclusive basis, i.e. amongst terrestrial and Free to air TV’s.
- Worked closely with Orbit distribution offices across the MENA region to develop Corporate and Regional marketing plans and support them in their sales & Marketing efforts.
- Review monthly sales (new subs, churn, lapsed and renewed subs) and distribution reports and fine-tune marketing plans and pricing strategies.
- Lead all strategic work in launching new channels on the platform, whether Orbit’s own or International Channels. Launched Pay Per View (PPV) VOD;
- Manage external resource partners including advertising, media, interactive and research as well as internal - Marketing, distribution and ad sales managers
- Worked on NPD’s with Canal + technologies in Paris to launch Orbit Interactive services, namely Electronic Program Guide, subtitling, VO, PPV VOD and PG. Launched IVS - Internet via satellite.
