Tasks Carried Out:
• Liaises with Project QHSE Managers, colleagues and local HSE bodies to resolve issues.
• • Overall Management of Safety Executions at various Projects.
• Coordinate the Safety resource requirements.
• Support & monitoring of HSE Performance of the various projects.
• Coordination of QHSE activities with Project teams & operations.
• Identify and conduct safety training for different discipline and trade on following subjects. (as part of training and development)
• Competence Assurance / Training, Induction.
• Hazard Identification & Job Safety Analysis.
• Occupational, Health and Hygiene & COSHH.
• Safe Systems of Work, PPE, and Manual Handling.
• HSE Inspections, Audits. Accident / Incident reporting, Incident Investigation& follow-up and HSE report Including HSE Statistics & Weekly HSE Status report.
• Advise on potential hazards at work site.
• Monitoring all safety issues on site, to prevent and stop dangerous work practices. • Ensuring all near-misses is reported and preventive measures are taken.
• Preparing project Safety plans, carrying out formal training in safety, conducting and coordinating toolbox talks.
• Liaison with subcontractors and plant operators to ensure awareness of all safety requirements and Permit to Work system.
• Continuous monitoring of Critical Lifting, Deep Excavation, Heavy Structural Erection, Scaffolding Erection, Crane Operations, Piping erection activities.
• Periodic checking of all firefighting equipment’s, imparting first aid firefighting training for all employees, conducting mock firefighting drills.
• Coordination of all temporary works, implementation of safe system of works.
• Promote safety awareness to the workforce through HSE meetings/trainings and through safety committee/safety representatives.
• Make sure that the production activities on site are carried out in a safe manner and in adherence to the Company Safety policy.
• Assists in the investigation of accidents and analysis of accident statistics in order to identify trends and propose the necessary corrective measures.
• Preparing the projects for internal, 2nd and 3rd party audits.
• Preparing statistical reports on HSE performance and reporting to top management
• Implementing project HSE plan.
• Updating project HSE plan.
• Identifying hazard / risk of the project and implementing mitigation.
• Daily site supervision.
• Conducting induction training for new employees.
• Conducting toolbox talk on various subjects / hazards as required.
• Advising project manager on HSE related issues.
• Identifying and monitoring legal requirements of the project.
• Monitoring the HSE performance of the subcontractor
• Identifying HSE training requirements.
• Developing training materials for internal training, coordinating training with external agency / head office.
• Maintaining HSE records to prove the compliance with the HSE requirements.
• Creating awareness on HSE related issues within the project and interested parties.
• Accident / incident / near miss investigation.
• Implementing emergency preparedness plan.
• Conducting emergency mock drill
• Preparing the project for internal, 2nd and 3rd party audits.
• Reporting to Workshop Manager, QHSE manager and acting on any unsafe act or situation.
