Project Cost Control Manager and/or Deputy Project Control Manager related to oil and projects from project engineering definition (FEED) to project execution (EPCI).
Main responsibilities within the projects were/are as follows:
 Preparation and set up of Project Operational budget after Contract award broken down based on Work Breakdown Structures showing each cost elements (Labor, Materials, & Equipment) and assigning cost centers and codes covering Indirect and Direct Cost distribution.
 Implementation of project schedule after contract award, this includes the original baseline schedule and equipment schedule and all subsequent field working schedules required per the contract requirements.
 Taking overall responsibility and to lead effectively the cost control function on the project.
 Coordinate and work with the project management team to provide cost control and planning advice and resolve project issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work on time, within scope, within budget and to the satisfaction of the Client . Perform project costing related reporting to the team and management’s review.
 Monitoring, reporting and forecasting project cost. Producing regular cost reports and advising management of any forecast cost overruns as soon as possible to allow corrective actions to be taken in a timely manner.
 Monitor and evaluate Project Cost / Man‐hour performance on Weekly and Monthly basis and prepare Executive Summary Report to Top Management. Monitoring, reporting and forecasting actual versus scheduled progress, productivity and reporting problems or anticipating potential problems to Project and Executive management. Preparation of gap analysis. Recommendation of mitigation measures.
 Monitoring and reporting project manpower census, movements and utilization. Periodic Analysis of project manpower requirements projection in term of qualification, skill, mobilization plan, rate …against available resource to be able to initiate timely sourcing arrangements with project management and/or personnel requisitions.
 Responsible to control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all costs related expenditures are correct and captured and properly recorded.
 Provide assistance on Extra Works and Claim Issues in collaboration with Project Manager and Estimating Unit. Assisting the project manager in identifying scope change and gaining approval of estimates/change requests. Monitoring, reporting and forecasting revenue trends.
 Commercial review of Vendor/Subcontractor’s quotations .
 Cost revaluation of bulk quantity following MTO issuance at different milestone progress of the detailed design to assess the cost forecast, projection at completion, deviation with respect to budget / previous forecast, follow up and evolution of surplus material and quantification.
 Coordinates interfacing with Estimating Unit to provide continuous feedback about actual rate with respect to initial reference budget build up rate.
 Coordinate interfacing with Finance & Accounting Department for preparation and issuance of short-long term cash flow by currency.

 Provide analysis of risk in cost estimation by using @ risk -Montecarlo simulation. Identification, monitoring, controlling risk, quantification, cost sensitivity outcomes on project profitability and level of contingencies throughout the lifetime of a project  Liaising with the finance department.
 Plan & attend project meetings and discussions with the PMT and external clients.
 Organize Cost Control Project task force unit.
 Lead the Project Cost Control Unit in the preparation of progressive and or final cost reports upon completion of project and collaborates with Finance & Accounting Depart. for the preparation of Profit & Loss Statement of the project.
