• Perform a variety of quantitative and qualitative laboratory test and analysis of gas petroleum products, liquid petroleum products, sulphur solid products and related products, processing chemicals water and other substances, in accordance with established testing methods and instructions.
• Perform taking and analyzing samples from process and utility units.
• Collect the special gas, liquid and solid samples from the plant and some special liquid samples using international accepted standard sampling procedures.
• Perform special test in the plant, such as dissolve oxygen, chlorine (Residual) range in water samples.
• Receive sample list and enters analytical results using computerized Laboratory Information System (LIMS) and Business Object reporting software.
• Assist in obtaining process and utility unit’s samples in implementing ISO/IEC 17025 system in conformance in the company, HSE and international Standard and practices.
• Prepare and standardize chemical reagents used in day to day working of the laboratory test and on line analyzers.
• Analyze, compute and record sample test data and results, using computer controlled laboratory apparatus and instruments in conjunction with integrated LIMS automatic data transfer system.
• Comply with all relevant Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) regulations, in the performance of all activities.
• Report any instrument operating faults and apparatus damage to immediate supervisors.
• Carry out all analysis of the samples in line with assigned time standards.
• Assists the Quality Assurance Supervisor for maintaining current and accurate records of all relevant communications, audits, corrective action plans, and effectiveness monitoring.
• Conducts analysis of petroleum products such as Fuel Oil, Diesel/Gas oil, Aviation Fuel, Kerosene, Gasoline, Naphtha, Lubricants, Slack Wax, Condensate and various chemical products as per client’s specification in accordance with the specified (IP/ASTM/UOP) test method
• Responsible for the proper use of instruments and test equipment and reports defective machine when necessary.
• Assigned in Fujairah to perform analyses and manpower support
• Prepares/standardizes chemical reagents and standard solutions in accordance with prescribed methods.
• Performs calibration of equipment, glass wares, thermometers, hydrometers, viscometers, etc.
• Conducts petroleum blending and witnessed procedures of testing in other laboratories.
• Responsible for checking of report sheets and certificate of quality.
• Maintains confidentiality of test procedures/test results and business-related information.
• Prepares sample for laboratory tests by following strict procedure for sample handling, registration, and data recording.
• Conducts analysis of petroleum products such as Fuel Oil, Diesel/Gas oil, Aviation Fuel, Kerosene, Gasoline, Naphtha, Lubricants, Slack Wax as per client’s specification in accordance with the specified (IP/ASTM) test methods.
• Responsible for the proper use of instruments and test equipment and reports defective machine when necessary.
• Knowledge on ISO/IEC 17025.
• Knowledge in LIMS System.
• Prepares/standardizes chemical reagents and standard solutions in accordance with prescribed methods.
• Performs regular inventory of glass wares, equipment, chemical and other supplies for monitoring purposes.
• Responsible for checking of report sheets and certificate of quality.
• Performs doping on board and tanks.
• Maintains confidentiality of test procedures/test results and business-related information.
• Conducts field-testing as per client’s requirement.
