Duties: The MPFM Contract Holder and CAT Lead is a member of the Support and Integrity department, responsible for coordinating field support to oil fields and gathering stations in the south area, by monitoring the activities related to Project execution, field engineering, change management, construction and commissioning of new facilities, within these areas of responsibility:
• To ensure PDO operation safety standards are met.
• To provide engineering expertise to ensure that the plant instrument and control systems will function in accordance with PDO standards.
• Coordinate C&A support team for Oil South Directorate.
• Lead Steam injection enhanced recovery plant site team.
• Coordinate SCADA team activities for installation, commissioning and maintenance strategy.
• Lead Alarm management team for implementation and rationalization as per SHELL DEP.
• Provide input to the Operations group on field instrument and production measurement performance and troubleshooting.
• Provide input to OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
• Participate in LEAN activities and implementation.
• To ensure that interfaces between South directorate and other parts of the Company are adequately managed and properly engineered.
• Support Shell operation excellence effort by supporting operations integrity activities.
• Contract Holder for South maintenance contracts
Duties: The ANALYZER AND F&GS SPECIALIST is accountable for the Field Analyzers and F&GS Engineering and construction, responsible for monitoring the construction, commissioning and handed over for the Ethane Cracker. Within these areas of responsibility:
• To ensure Project safety standards are met or exceeded.
• To provide engineering expertise to ensure that the plant is constructed and will function in accordance with the Project Integrated Basis of Design.
• Oversee activities related to Honeywell Experion DCS and Triconex system.
• Coordinate vendor SAT and commissioning activities of the analyzers houses and shelters.
• Oversee activities related to F&GS.
• Lead analyzers and metering systems engineering and commissioning.
• Provide input to the completion group on commissioning activities related to field instrumentation and analyzers.
•To ensure that interfaces with Company and other parts of the Project are adequately managed and properly engineered.
The Senior Instrument Engineer is a member of the Control Systems and Instrument Engineering group within the Onshore Construction Management Team in the QG 3 & 4 LNG Project, responsible for monitoring the EPC Contractor’s construction activities on the Process Trains. Within these areas of responsibility:
•To ensure Project safety standards are met or exceeded.
•To provide engineering expertise to ensure that the plant is constructed and will function in accordance with the Project Integrated Basis of Design on the following areas:
•Oversee field installation, test and commissioning of FOUNDATION FIELD BUS instrument system, and DCS Emerson Delta V for LNG process area (Acid Gas Removal and Sulphur recovery units)
•Oversee installation, test and commissioning of Emergency shutdown systems (ESD) Triconex and FG system.
•Oversee engineering, construction and test of GENP compressor control and Bently Nevada systems.
•Oversee engineering, construction and commissioning of Boilers (Macchi) and Gas turbine generators (GE).
•Coordinate SAT and commissioning of third part vendors packages.
•Lead activities related to Continuous Corrosion monitoring system.
•Lead installation, test and commissioning of the SPT Pipeline Management system.
•Lead installation, test and commissioning of the Roxar Pig receiver system.
•Lead analyzers and metering systems engineering and commissioning.
•Oversee completions activities in LNG process area.
•Lead Instrument Engineer for Waste water disposal and Helium Projects.
•To monitor the EPC Contractor in the execution of his responsibilities under the EPC Contract.
•Provide input to WinPCs on commissioning activities related to field instrumentation and analyzers.
•To ensure that interfaces with other parts of the Project and all Project stakeholders are adequately managed and properly engineered.
Oversee all activities related to design, construction and commissioning of Foundation Field bus instrumentation, Yokogawa CS3000 DCS and Pro-Safe IPS. Lead Integrated commissioning team on Hot cut over procedures, plan and Schedule.
Work as link between Engineering team and field engineering and construction team by overseeing all instrument and control system design including control system configuration and cabling layouts.
Specific activities include but not limited to:
•Oversee the design, installation, test and commissioning of FOUNDATION FIELD BUS instrument system, including ON-LINE instrument cut off and replace of Foxboro I/A DCS for Yokogawa CS 3000 DCS.
•Review of control system configuration and coordinate activities related to commissioning and start up of Yokogawa Pro-Safe IPS.
•Prepare work packs for turnaround and general shutdowns of SASREF units.
•Replace of displacement type level instruments for Magnetrol radar level type instrumentation and prepare general instrumentation for Hot cut over procedures, including flow meters, control valve and temperature instruments.
•Lead packages engineering team for Compressors control systems, Analyzers systems and Fire and gas systems.
•Commissioning and start up of instrumentation and DCS system for the following Units:
•CCR PLATFORMER
•HYDROCRACKER (REACTOR AND FRACTIONATION SECTION)
•VISBREAKER UNIT
•SULFUR RECOVERY UNIT
•TGU
•DISTILLATION UNITS
•Review of instrumentation design and field checkout of instrumentation installation, including flow meters, control valve and temperature instruments.
•Review control configuration and coordinate activities related to DCS based on Honeywell, Yokogawa and Emerson systems.
•Review, test and commissioning of Emergency shutdown systems (ESD)
•Power Up and Commissioning of process information and control equipments (ACCS and CRCS) based on Moore PLC and Triconex.
•Adjust tuning parameters and set up controllers for normal operations. Prepare volume correction factor and support mass balance for test run and turn around.
•Review Analyzers systems package specifications, installation commissioning and start up.
•Commissioning and start up of instrumentation, ESD and DCS system for the following Units:
•UOP PAREX AND CCR PLATFORMING UNITS (LIDONG-QINGDAO, CHINA)
•UOP UNICRACKING (HYDROCRACKER AND H2 UNITS (SLAVNEFT-YAROSLAVL, RUSSIA)
•UOP PEP, DETAL LAB COMPLEX (EMALAB - UAE, DUBAI)
•UOP CUMENE AND PHENOL UNITS (CHANG CHUN PLASTICS - TAIWAN)
Coordinate development of Front End Engineering, Purchase, Construction, Start up and Training of technicians and operators, documents and specifications for Invensys Foxboro I/A series DCS, ROTORK electric actuator, ENRAF tank level measurement system, General Electric PLC and KIDDE-Pegasys fire detections and alarm systems; SCADA and Online Analyzer Engineer (specialist) for the following projects:
•Facilities upgrade for supplying unleaded gasoline to local market (Instrument Lead Engineer)
•Gasoline blending system optimization using On-line analyzers system for quality predictions (Project Engineer)
•NAO and JOHN ZINK flare systems revamp, El Palito Refinery Instrument Lead Engineer)
•Blending and supplying of marine fuel (bunker); (Project Engineer)
•Water treatment plant and water disposal project. (Lead Instrument Engineer)
Support maintenance Analyzers team as Analyzer specialist by providing guidance on analyzers troubleshooting, design review and evaluating new technologies.
