Projects
- Al Rayyan Stadium and Precinct project is a Design and Build contract to Al Balagh-L&T JV for a 40, 000 seat Air-conditioned Stadium, Precinct having car parks, Kahramaa Substations (6 Nos.) and External Services & Landscaping, Energy Centre for 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar. The Precinct and Stadium works are slated to complete by 2019 and to achieve four (4) stars rating under the Global Sustainable Assessment System (GSAS). The project construction cost is @ QAR 1.5 billion
Duties/Responsibilities
● Preparation and get approval on the revised baseline.
● Establishing and managing the project control system.
● Understand Clients requirement and liaise with stakeholders for achieving.
● Tracking - Design, Procurement, Long lead material delivery, Work progress (SPI) and Invoice paid (CPI). Evaluate slippage and propose a mitigation plan. Micromanage the mitigation plans.
● Evaluation of changes and its impact on the overall Programme (cost and time).
● Client/PM facing meeting, Site walk with Client/PM. Sub-contractors meetings
● Deliverables - Daily, weekly and monthly reports. Weekly and monthly Client progress presentations.
● Maintain Risk register and Financial report (Revenue Verses Expenditures).
● Develop EOTs for the client. Evaluate Subcontractors EOT.
● Manage a team consisting of Planning Manager, Planners (5 nos), QS (6 nos) and Document Controllers (3 nos).
Project: Dhofar Beach Resort & SPA - Salalah. This is a 5 star plus hotel with 286 keys developed by Taameer group, will be operated by SHAZA. Total GFA is 61, 530.59 m2. This consist of 66 villas all facing sea and main hotel building with 220 rooms. The project construction cost is Omani Riyal 56 million (USD 145 million).
Duties/Responsibilities
● Attend Client facing meeting, site walk with Board members.
● Preparation of monthly report and presentation for Board members.
● Chair weekly progress meeting.
● Establishing and managing the project control system.
● Understand Clients requirement and liaise with stakeholders for achieving.
● Review the work progress of consultants and contractors - plan Vs actual (EV management).
● Evaluate construction work progress (SPI) and Invoice paid (CPI).
● Monitoring and reporting on cost and schedule against the project execution plan throughout the entire project lifecycle
● Review Consultant’s/Contractor’s reports and programs including mitigation/recovery programs - critical path and the feasibility of program execution.
● Prepare Monthly/Weekly report and be the Custodian of the risk register.
● Review and recommend on EOT claims.
● Provide guidance/assistance to the project team.
Project:
1) One Midtown: 55, 000 sqm.; about 25 Million USD construction cost, residential use. Construction duration 36 months,
2) Capital Greens IV: 220, 000 sqm; about 130 million USD construction cost, residential use. Construction duration 42 months.
3) SIEL: over 400, 000 sqm about 270 million USD construction cost, residential use. Construction duration 60 months.
Responsible for Master Plan development. Manage the Programmes form Lead Designer, Architects, Cost consultant and Main Contractor to achieve then timely delivery. Preparation of progress presentation, Dash board and Monthly reports.Evaluate Progress performance, SPI, CPI, Mitigation programme, EOT’s etc.
Projects:
1) SIDRA Medical Research Centre - QAR 250 million project which has 42, 000 item from 78 suppliers in 3 building - Hospital Building, Out Patient Clinic Building and Central Service Building
2) Construction QF Head quarter - QAR 100 million project doing exclusive His Highness office area
3) National Library - QAR 25 million project, Supply and Installation of special FF&E items from Italy and USA
Responsible for programme development and Staffing plan for ongoing & tendering projects. Coordinating with all suppliers (30 to 78 suppliers) for timely delivery of materials. Preparation of Dash board, Monthly reports, Recovery programme, EOT’s and attend client facing meeting. Develop and Implement Progress measurement system, document control system, shop drawing log and Material submission, pre qualification etc. There are 3 planners and 3 document controlers reporting to me. Aconex was used as Project Management Software
Project:
1) SEHA Ambulatory Healthcare Center (AHC) - Construction of 5 AHC’s and related infrastructure work; value of AED 460 million each in different part of Al Ain, UAE. The Project duration is 18 months for each AHC
We as client’s representatives need to monitor the Designer and Main Contractor. Review and approve Contractor’s construction programme. Evaluate progress, mitigation programme. Monthly Report to client
Projects:
1) Architectural & Engineering Consulting Services for School of Islamic studies.
2) Design management of “ Faculty Club, Souk and Banking”
3) Designing of Showcases with respect to Qatar’s Bid to Host 2022 World Cup.
4) Tender for “QD Libya Waterfront Master Plan”
Responsible for Programming and Project Controls system. Reporting, EOT Claim, Risk Register, Organisation charts, Staff Resources plan etc for all the ongoing & tendering jobs. Aconex was used as Project Management Software
Projects:
1) Canal Point Hospital - Jebel Ali This is a Hospital owned by Istithmar, project managed by ARUP. The project forecast to complete by Jan-2009, construction cost AED 565million
2) Downtown - Jebel Ali This project is Infrastructure development for a 10 km belt on the side of Shake Sayed Road from Jebel Al towards Abu Dhabi. This involves coordination with Infrastructure Designer (ARUP -Melbourne), landscaping (SWA -USA), other local legal parties and Contractors to ensure the Plot hand over dates are honored as per the sales department. Expected construction duration of 30 months
Responsible for Programming and Project Controls system. Evaluate / monitor the consultant and contractor’s programme. Develop overall programme coordinating all the design team to achieve the delivery date. Primavera Expedition was used as Project Management Software.
Projects :
1) Jumeirah Village for Nakheel, Project Duration of 30 months, cost AED 4 billion (4, 085 million). This will be developed on 340 hectares of land area with approximately 2500 Villas / Townhouses (of 1, 2, 3 & 4 B/R of large & small bed room types) and 9200 meters of Internal Road (excluding the Service access roads). In addition to this 1300 four story apartment complexes, Mosques, Parks, Schools, retail areas, an island feature, Community Swimming pool and landscaped area.
2) Al Mas Tower for DMCC, project duration of 24 months, cost AED 565million budget (AED 666million forecast). This is a 67 story building having a height of 350 meters.
3) Gold Tower and Silver Tower is two identical towers for DMCC, project duration of 24 months each, cost AED 203 million budget (AED 230 million forecast adjusted for current inflation) each. Each building is of 36 story having height of 140 meters.
Responsible for the Master programme development. Preparation of periodic progress presentations, Dash board reports, Monthly report etc. Review the Programmes form Lead Designer, Architects and Main Contractor for the compliance of contractual milestones. Evaluate progress of all entities, and mitigation programme for timely achievement of deliverables. PRIMAVERA EXPEDITION (P3e/c) was used as Project Management Software
Projects:
1) Effluent Water Disposal Plant in South East Kuwait Field-Kuwait Oil Company, duration 30 months - 976 calendar days (Budget), cost KD - 64, 000, 000, main Contractor M/s. DAELIM INDUSTRIES
2) Urea Plant B - Granulation Project -Shuaiba, duration of 13.5 months, main contractor M/s. TECNIMONT S.p.A
3) Crude Heater for MAA Refiner CDU # 3 KNPC -Kuwait, duration of 12 months, man contract ABB Lummus Heat Transfer B.V
Responsible for development of resource loaded detail construction program for the project which involve lying of KM’s of pipe and fabrication & erection of huge water tanks. There were 2 planners, 2 document controllers and 2 time keeper reporting to me
Projects:
1) “GAS DETECTION & MONITORING SYSTEM & RELATED PROJECTS” for JEDDAH REFINERY - SAUDI ARAMCO. - K.S.A.
2) "INDUSTRIAL WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT" - RAS TANURA REFINERY (Package # 8 & 2) - SAUDI ARAMCO. - K.S.A.
Responsible for development of resource loaded detail construction program for the refinery projects. Reporting, EOT Claim, Risk Register, Organisation charts, Staff Resources plan etc
Projects:
1) "COPPER SMELTING PLANT" - M/s BIRLA COPPER at DAHEJA - INDIA.
2) "CPPL - JNPT TANK FARM PROJECT" - M/s RELIANCE INDUSTRIES INFRASTRUCTURE LIMITED. and it's "CATHODIC PROTECTION STATION WORK" at different location along the pipeline at URAN - INDIA “GAS DETECTION & MONITORING SYSTEM & RELATED PROJECTS” for JEDDAH REFINERY
Responsible for:
• Execution of project, including design modification depending upon Client / Consultant's requirements. Submission of the assimilated drawing
• Schedule preparation and submission to the Client.
• Estimation of material for the project. Estimation of equipment for project execution.
• Procurement of the material required for the project as per priority in the bar chart keeping in mind the time delay for delivery of the material.
• Inspections of the vendor's work place periodically to ensure the work progress.
• Execution of project, intermediate supervision and checking of the work progress at site. Control the work force for the work progress to achieve the target dates on the schedule.
• Assisting Pre-commissioning inspection and rectifying the problem, if any.

1) NEW PLANT "NMP PLANT" - M/s HINDUSTAN PETROLEUM CORPORATION LIMITED. at MAHUL - INDIA.
2) "MAIN RECEIVING STATION EXPANSION WORK" M/s BHARAT PETROLEUM CORPORATION LIMITED. at MAHUL - INDIA
Responsible for:
• Follow up with Consultant for technical queries and design modifications.
• Coordinating with Sub-contractor's for implementation of job module.
• Estimation of materials as per drawing, preparation of Material requisition and follow up to get them in time.
• Bar chart formations for target attaining and proper execution of jobs according to specifications.
• Adopting flexibility in deployment of manpower to achieve targets.
• Preparations of Invoice with respect to work done and follow-up for early release of payments.
