Restaurant Area Manager

• Responsible for maintaining and helping enforce procedures to ensure the delivery of exceptional operational and commercial standards throughout corporate restaurants within the area. To ensure compliance in all areas of operational activity and drive sales and profitability through the performance and development of store managers, whilst managing within agreed budgets.
General
• Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions on matters of importance to guest service.
Financial
• Responsible for ensuring that all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs.
• Discusses business reviews and key financial reviews with the operations manager in regards to store performance during monthly meetings.
• Exercising excellent judgment in cost control procedures, financial accounting, inventory levels and labor management.
Food safety and planning
• Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
• Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation and service.
• Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
• Estimate food needs, place orders with distributors, and schedule the delivery of fresh food and supplies.
Operational Responsibilities
• Ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests and company assets.
• Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents. Completes accident reports promptly in the event that a guest or employee is injured.
• Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.
• Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.
• Deliver on or above target goals for food and labor cost while aligned with the brands customer service standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to all standard operating procedures and safety and security guidelines
Personnel
• Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues.
• Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs.
• Prepare schedules and ensure that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts.
• Motivate store team through effective performance management, timely performance feedback and written reviews, clear goal setting and taking corrective action when appropriate.
• Responsible for identifying and developing internal candidates for future leadership opportunities.
• Deliver high quality orientation and training for all new employees.
• Identify and respond to execution gaps in delivering exceptional customer experience; develop and execute plans to elevate both staff and store performance.
Accountabilities
• Keeps Area Managers and Operations Manager promptly and fully informed of all issues and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action.
• Completes job responsibilities and performance objectives in a timely and effective manner and in accordance with Pinkberry and MH Alshaya Co. Policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
