„«Review Process Design Reports for the capacity expansion of Polyethylene plants from 100 KTY to 160 KTY.
„«Participate in the Project Management activities for the Polyethylene Plants Capacity Expansion in areas such as the Raw Material Purification System, Reactor and Catalyst Processes, Resin Degassing & Solid Additive Handling, Extrusion & Pelletizing and Vent Recovery System.
„« Provides process improvement services, including lead process improvement studies, performance optimization, incident investigations, economic evaluations, technical audits and safety studies for one area of Major Units (Polyethylene and Polypropylene) and assigned OSBL unit.
„«Utilizes process simulation and design softwares such as ASPEN HYSYS, ASPEN HTFS, CHEMCAD etc in evaluating key process performance parameters.
„« Coordinates with lead engineering groups to develop detailed engineering of process modifications for projects and plant trials.
„« Participates in safety walk thru and trip testing activities to ensure process safety and integrity of process control systems in the event of plant emergency.
„« Performs data gathering and analysis for process modifications and trials.
„« Provides direct process engineering leadership in implementation of small sized projects that will improve safety, production efficiency, profitability, and operability.
„«Designated as the department’s P&ID Controller who facilitates processing and development of P&ID.
„« Designated as the department’s PDP Controller who facilitates processing and development of PDP.
„« Provides support to the Operations, particularly in the two major area units such as the Polyethylene and Polypropylene Plants.

«Evaluate and monitor the activities of equipment maintenance in the Production and Distribution Facilities (Pump Stations)
„« Monitor the Potable Water Quality Parameters in the Production and Distribution Areas.
« Overall supervision and inspection of RO Plants 1, 2 and 3 operational tasks, process systems and activities of personnel during the shift.
„« Carry out troubleshooting and take necessary decisions and actions during abnormal operation and emergency situations in the plant. These also include membrane profiling in case of mechanical leaks due to o-ring deterioration, chemical cleaning, multimedia filter backwashing, cartridge filter replacement, pre-treatment and post-treatment chemical dosing adjustments, etc.
„« Authorized by Marafiq to implement the company¡¦s Standard Safety Procedures for issuing permit to work (PTWC) and to ensure proper equipment isolations as per the established Marafiq Standard Isolation Procedures before issuing the permit to work.
„« Monitor the daily process parameters such as % Salt Rejection, Membrane Flux, Osmotic Pressure, NDPressure, Normalized Permeate Flow Rate, Normalized Differential Pressure, Brine and product water streams LSI (Langelier Saturation Index), Multimedia Filter and Micron Filter Differential Pressure, Feed and product pH, Product Water Free Residual Chlorine (FRC), Feed Water SDI (Silt Density Index), Iron, etc. and immediately execute action to address any process deviation.
„« Lead plant safety initiatives, proper housekeeping and fulfill HSE requirements in accordance with the company¡¦s safety and housekeeping guidelines, policy and standard procedures.
„« Recommend relevant innovations on various areas of improvement in the facility to optimize the RO process.
„« Participates in Marafiq RO Plant Commissioning Activities with Al-Kawther personnel (Contractor of Marafiq) for the newly constructed Reverse Osmosis Plant having a capacity of 7, 560 m3/day at a normal recovery rate of 75%.

„« Innovate and implement chemical treatment program for Cooling Towers, Absorption Chillers, Total Boiler System, Reverse Osmosis Plants and other recreational facilities of the university such as swimming pools.
„« Conduct Laboratory Analysis for the physical and chemical quality determination of utilities water from the university¡¦s Cooling Towers, Absorption Chillers, Total Boiler Systems, Reverse Osmosis Plants, swimming pools and drinking water for the use of the university.
„« Monitor the chemical parameters and carry out necessary adjustments and actions to avoid any process deviation and to ensure that all critical parameters are within the required/standard limit set by the university.
„« Supervise potable water sample collection from different selected areas in the University for the annual laboratory physical, chemical, biological and nuclear analysis of drinking water in the university to be carried out by the university¡¦s research institute, civil engineering laboratory and the university clinic.
„« Supervise plant personnel on the actual application of the chemical treatment programs for Cooling Towers, Boilers, RO Systems and Chillers by ensuring that chemicals are properly prepared, handled, utilized and optimized.
