- Writing news releases and then disseminating these to local newspapers, weekly publications as well as to online news sources, such as AmeInfo and Zawya;
- Writing the copy for the company’s website, event brochures, advertisements, proposals, sales letters, sponsorship letters, and other official correspondence;
- Keeping track of news stories and then compiling market reports focusing on the latest developments related to the industries targeted by the company’s events;
- Coordinating with the company’s international partners, including IQPC and Summit Trade Events, for matters related to our joint conferences and exhibitions;
- Negotiating barter deals with local and regional publications to ensure wide coverage and to effectively raise awareness about the company’s events;
- Conducting research on major industrial developments to identify possible topics for new conferences and to explore their potential for new exhibitions;
- Building close relations with the local and international media to ensure wide and positive coverage of the company’s operations;
- Responding promptly to requests for information from reporters and other media personnel as well as writing feature articles for various industry publications;
- Developing effective marketing communications and promotional strategies to successfully promote the company’s events to potential clients;
- Taking charge of desktop publishing to develop highly professional documents, using Adobe InDesign, PageMaker, Illustrator, Photoshop and CorelDraw;
- Editing and proofreading all communication materials to ensure that they conform to high standards in English communication.
- Responsible for the implementation of PR strategies to effectively promote the company’s events for the oil & gas industry, namely the Oil & Gas West Asia (OGWA) Exhibition and Conference and the Middle East Artificial Lift Forum (MEALF);
- Supervising the development of various marketing communications collaterals including brochures, leaflets, newspaper ads, fact sheets and e-newsletters;
