Etihad Rail program comprises of a proposed national rail network, which will link freight facilities & future passenger services, and will form a part of the planned Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) rail program.

The project is a Design & Build contract for a 605 km Freight railway that will run from Ghweifat (Saudi border) in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi up to the Port of Fujairah in the Emirate of Al Fujairah connecting all seven Emirates in the
UAE and is valued circa USD 6 billion.

My responsibilities include: -
➢ Working as Employer’s Representative in two out of six packages (Package 2A & 2D totaling up to 244km out of 605km, circa USD 1.3
billion), responsible for the full administration of the Contract, including oversight of Health, Safety and Environment, construction
supervision, stakeholder management, interface management, quality assurance, project controls, and cost management.
➢ Responsible for managing the Project Risks and oversee implementation of mitigation measures.
➢ Responsible for managing ‘Change Control’ in compliance with the Contract conditions via Project’s Change Control Committee.
➢ Responsible for ensuring effective interface coordination with other Civil, Facilities and Systemwide packages through effective Interface
Management.
➢ Responsible for implementing Value Engineering ideas using ‘Cutting Edge’ technologies such as Rapid Dynamic Compaction & Dynamic
Replacement in the field of Earthworks & Ground Improvement to save time & cost.
➢ Responsible for proposing Innovative solutions associated with the sequence of construction in some of the most complex pre & post-
tensioning reinforced concrete structures (cast in situ & pre-cast I girder launching to a height up to 40m using specialized Lifting
techniques known as ‘Super Lifts’) to implement accelerated working and save time & cost to the project.

➢ Responsible for managing a cross functional team of over 40 members including design, construction supervision and contract &
commercial.

Suedlink is a new 700km long underground High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission line programme to transport wind power from Northern Germany to Bavaria and Baden-Wurttemberg in the south. At a length of 700km, Suedlink is the largest Transmission cable in the network and the longest underground power cable in the world.

Jacobs were declared as a ‘Preferred bidder’ for the Euros 10 billion project to provide an ‘Integrated Delivery Partner’ approach to program and contract management, planning and approvals, stakeholder engagement, logistics, construction supervision and Engineering services on behalf of the client TenneT and Transnet BW respectively.

My responsibilities included: -
 Responsible for providing Constructability input during the Tender stage as a ‘Construction Lead’.
 Produced a Construction Staffing Plan required for the programme delivery.
 Worked out the key programme challenges likely to be encountered during the execution phase and proposed a solution-based approach in the Bid response.
 Worked out the sequence of construction and proposed a construction methodology in the Bid response.
 Provided construction input in the development of a Time Chainage programme and a Level 3 Master Schedule for the programme delivery.
 Worked out the extent of Stakeholder Management required for the programme delivery and proposed a solution-based approach in the Bid response to manage the expectations of the Key Stakeholders.
 Proposed resource requirements based on geographical locations for the programme delivery in the Bid response.

Western Rail Link to Heathrow is a £500 million Network Rail Project that will provide a rail link between Langley Station and Heathrow Terminal 5.

Areas of oversight include a Pre-construction Buildability Input for the construction of new airport lines, building a Rail Intersection Bridge underneath live 125mph Great Western Main Lines, tunnelling under live infrastructure using Earth Pressure Balance TBM(s), constructing ventilation & intervention shafts, excavating cross passages and Sprayed Concrete Lining works.

My responsibilities included: -
 Demonstrated leadership aptitudes while incorporating constructability input into GRIP stages 2, 3, & 4 of the ‘Western Rail Link to Heathrow’ (WRLtH) project as a ‘Construction Lead’.
 Compiled detailed Constructability Report for each GRIP stage of the WRLtH scheme and proposed construction methodology for multiple work streams within the preferred option.
 Expertly mentored a cross-disciplinary team of construction professionals that included sub-consultants while undertaking a comprehensive viability assessment of planned construction.
 Oversaw prompt submission of the construction deliverables to assist in the preparation of Environmental Statement (ES) for a successful delivery of the Development Consent Order (DCO) for the scheme.
 Minimized disruptions to railway operation during construction by proposing a ‘SMART’ Construction Phasing strategy, sequencing bridge construction, and drafting a detailed Rail Possession Strategy.
 Identified, assessed, and proposed sustainable Spoil removal strategy from the project using Rail & Road network.
 Responsible for developing a Level 5 Construction Programme to aid in the development of a detailed Cost Estimate.
 Responsible for proposing the overall ‘Land Take’ requirements for the successful delivery of the scheme.

M11 Junction 7A was a £70 million road widening project funded by Highways England that included widening of the existing of the Gilden Way including construction of a new dual three lane ‘Diverge Link’ with a Grade separated roundabout junction over the existing live M11 Motorway carriageways.

My responsibilities included: -
 As a Construction Lead, responsible for providing Buildability assessment during the pre-construction phase of the project.
 Prepared detailed Traffic Management Plans to mitigate traffic disruption on the M11 road network during construction.
 Provided construction input during the assessment of advanced Environmental Mitigation works.
 Prepared a detailed Construction Methodology Report and a Construction Programme to facilitate Stage 3, 4 & 5 of the project.
 Drafted Site layout drawings proposing ‘potential’ locations for setting up construction site compounds, construction plant & materials storage areas, spoil storage, and haul routes.
 Assisted the Procurement Team in assessing and selection of a Design & Build (D&B) procurement route for the Main Works Contractor.

My responsibilities included: -
 As Construction Lead, coached and mentored a diverse team assigned to complete a variety of deliverables to facilitate the submission of the Development Consent Order (DCO) application to seek ‘Scheme Approval’ from the Secretary of State (SoS).
 Engaged with the Environmental Lead to identify advanced Ecological & Archaeological mitigation tasks.
 Delivered critical expertise as a Technical Lead while dealing with utility companies such as National Grid Gas, British Telecom, Thames Water and compiling lead feasibility studies.
 Collaborated with key decision-makers at Network Rail and Train Operating Companies (TOC) and proposed a Safety Critical Works Strategy for the A14 scheme and managing third party assets and infrastructure.
 Developed a Construction Programme, Construction Strategy Report, Construction Methodology Report, and Network Rail Interface Report to aid in the submission of DCO application.

My responsibilities included: -
 Responsible for ensuring on-site health and safety, quality and environment compliance during construction.
 Led planning and implementation at the Western Ticket Hall prior to and after the arrival of tunnel boring machine's (TBMs).
 Successfully implemented Top-Down and Bottom-Up construction techniques for the construction of 30m deep East & West Ticket Hall Boxes.
 Streamlined timelines and cost-savings by creating championing new ‘Value Engineering’ proposals.
 Ensured compliance with completion protocols by introducing and evaluating Temporary Works design briefs as a project’s Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC).
 Oversaw third party interfaces with Network Rail & London Underground to ensure minimal disruptions are caused to the operational services during construction.
 Involved in the review & approval of Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Inspection & Test Plans, Material Compliance Records, Environmental Management Plans, and other critical construction documents.

Station boxes were connected with newly built 400m long platforms spanning across the river Thames with a solar panel glass roof over the entire length of the platform to provide a sustainable approach for providing power to the station buildings.

My responsibilities included: -
 Played a key leadership role in managing Marine Logistics as a ‘Marine Lead’ on the project.
 Facilitated safe and efficient river deliveries by reviewing & approving Safe System of Work procedures for operating safety/lookout boats, flat top pontoons, tugs and crane mounted Jack-up barges on the river Thames.
 Developed safe procedures for the installation and removal of Arch Closure Boards to control the movement of river traffic.
 Streamlined marine logistical operations by developing a 12-Month Look Ahead Marine Logistics Programme based on Tidal charts.
 Resolved commercial issues associated with marine logistics to ensure compliance with NEC-3 Option C contract conditions.
 Liaised with 3rd Party Stakeholders such as the Port of London Authority to obtain various river consents for the smooth operation of Marine plant through navigable spans.
 Managed expectations of multiple Marine Subcontractors to ensure river deliveries are met on time to meet the construction programme.
