Scope/Description:
Upgrading Works in Pumping Stations in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Under this EPC project scope - The project aims to enhance the water supply to Al Ain region by replacing the old pipes located between the newly constructed receiving points (RPs) and the existing interface connection points with Al Ain distribution company (AADC). These old pipes are located at the eight existing pumping stations namely Al Maquam, Al Dhama, Zakher, Zoo, Al Hili, Power House, Sarouj and Military. By replacing the old pipes, the above pumping stations can be isolated and removed from the system. Furthermore, TRANSCO can operate the system based on its design criteria of providing enough pressure to AADC without the use of existing eight (8) terminal stations.
Scope of Works: As the project involves multiple scope of works, it is then divided into two lots, Lot A and Lot B. Lot A works of Pumping Station upgradation in Al Ain including all associated Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, I&C works. Lot B: Decommissioning and Disposal of TRANSCO assets. The worth total cost of the project is about AED 80 million.
Responsibilities:
As an ARE -Mechanical for Design review and Construction Supervision consultant- Parsons International Ltd., on behalf of TAQA/ TRANSCO. To check the contractor’s submitted design packages and drawings, materials submittals and technical data sheets, technical queries of all Mechanical/ MEP, Chlorination System and related facilities throughout the project scope. Supervise the successful execution of the mentioned project and carryout testing and commissioning, provisional handing over to owner.Company: ITALCONSULT SpA.
