Responsible for the IT Applications Unit, duties include:
• Supported and assisted the business units in building their requirements
• Managed system vendor relationships
• Supervised the daily operations of the applications unit
• Evaluated, recommended, and acquired the company’s IT applications and solutions
• Analyzed the end-user requirements and coordinated in building RFPs
• Created project plans and ensured execution of the plan against agreed upon deadlines
• Managed and supervised the deployment of major developments/enhancements on core banking system and order management system in compliance with the Saudi Capital Markets Authority (CMA) requirements.
• Developed IT policies and procedures in compliance with IT security and business continuity policy set by Saudi stock exchange (Tadawul).
• Acted as a consultant for business users in finding/recommending information technology solutions for daily operational issues in compliance with local rules and regulations.
• Managed the project for migration of the current core banking system to a newer technological platform. Old platform: IBM AIX server & operating system, Oracle 8i Database, and Oracle Forms 6. New platform: HP UNIX server & operating system, Oracle 10g database, and Forms 10.
