• Develop, implement and manage the bid strategy to ensure Transguard are best positioned to win and influence major bids.
• Manage the communication protocol with all internal and external stakeholders and lead the bid response covering all solutions offered by Transguard with focus on large-complex bids.
• Monitor and measure the performance of the Bid team by setting in place Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and GROW models to ensure the highest level of service and training is met.
• Support the Operations team in handing over knowledge of successful bids and supporting them in delivering to clients and internal expectations within approved budget and design.
• Increase the level of knowledge within the bid team in regard to APMP/Shipley bid process.
• Responsible for the development of the team to ensure succession planning and training needs are analysed and met with HR’s guidance.
• Motivate and inspire team members to exceed expectations and improve performance output by creating an environment orientated to trust, open communication, creative thinking & cohesive team effort.
• Providing leadership and direction throughout the lifecycle of the bidding process in the commercial and government sectors; leading specialised and highly efficient teams to ensure proposals are in line with regulations and meet demanding deadlines
• Delivering proposals for overall facilities management including provision of Construction Services, Maintenance Services, Catering Services, Housekeeping Services, Waste Management Services, Logistics Services, Water Treatment Services, Fuel Supply Services and Food Supply Services
• Communicating professionally and effectively with global clients to understand expectations and developing innovative solutions to meet expectations as well as deliver and win bids that drive revenue
• Presenting proposals to high profile clientele; cultivating mutually beneficial relationships and influencing critical decisions
• Mentoring and leading management level teams to ensure optimal outcomes in line with business goals
• Partnering with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to extract critical information; analysing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to proactively identify roadblocks and propose optimal solutions to clients
• Utilising cutting edge lean methodologies to drive down costs without compromising quality standards
• Drafting accurate and complex technical and commercial documentation and complying with company and regulatory guidelines
• Managing the lifecycle of the bidding process; building a team of experts to deliver optimal solutions and preparing detailed and meticulous RFPs, RFTs, TIIs, EOIs and RFQs to meet client requests and expectations within demanding deadlines
• Adhering to rigorous processes and procedures in accordance with modern project management principles and APMP guidelines
• Collaborating with key stakeholders and Commercial and Pricing Teams to deliver technically and financially sound solutions while meeting demanding business goals
• Performing thorough analysis of bidding trends and reviewing procedures to recommend improvements and increase successful wins in the bidding process
• Directly accountable for the management and direction of high profile projects from development to handover for the Eurofighter Defensive Aid Suite (DASS) Programme at SELEX Galileo Ltd.
• Defining project scope and schedule, monitoring progress, controlling costs, allocating resources and presenting project status to key stakeholders
• Liaising with a team of Mechanical, Systems Hardware and Software Engineers as well as HR, Configuration Management, IT and Security professionals to deliver a comprehensive Engineering Sustainment (EST) project
• Utilising SAP and Microsoft Project to manage time and allocate resources on a weekly basis and performing Earned Value Management on a monthly basis
• Producing comprehensive and current status reports and regular updating management teams
