Establish and execute a strategic, innovative and client focused global mobility program that will provide solution oriented, customer-focused mobility services to globally based employees as well as employees inbound in the UAE
Responsible for all aspects of the domestic and global mobility policy and program administration, including developing, communicating, implementing and maintaining all human resources aspects of domestic and international assignments
Provide strategic input and collaborate with international HR teams (delegation, business travel, immigration, tax).
Provide leadership and direction to professional level staff to manage the organization's policies and procedures associated with domestic and international assignments, and to provide human resource support for overseas assignments and expatriates.
Provide regional subject matter expertise on global mobility management matters for other global hubs.
Develop and maintain an organization responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations and service delivery.
Work with key stakeholders to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction, efficiency and compliance are delivered to achieve operational excellence.
Develop budget and manage spending to ensure delivery of profit and cost per transaction against agreed targets.
Strategic design, development, implementation and management of full scope relocation services offered to newly hired faculty and staff members relocating into Abu Dhabi from around the world
Development, management and maintenance of business relationships with 3rd party providers such as international moving companies, schools, real estate agents, professional institutions, professional consulting firms
Cooperation with internal departments such as Recruitment, Immigration Services, Public Safety and other NYUAD operational teams to ensure alignment and coordinated service delivery.
Management of daily operations of the team including active support as a trouble shooter and subject matter expert for operational questions
Continuous review of all services and adaptation to evolving needs
Development and maintenance of service evaluation and feedback mechanisms on applicable services
Development and maintenance of a reporting system to record the development and statistical data of the relocation and transition services
Monitoring of staff performance and performing regular formal performance appraisal
Implementation and management of the strategic global recruitment process for senior and junior level staff
Development, implementation and management of the relocation process for global expatriates into UAE - junior & senior staff
Development and Implementation of a corporate induction program for new joiners to the UAE and Abu Dhabi - junior & senior staff
Management of ongoing employee relations / employee welfare issues
Cooperation with and support to Training & Development team
Management of the Performance Review & Development process
Management of redundancies including repatriation process
Active assistance in implementation of Oracle HR & Oracle Discoverer
Implementation and management of the strategic global recruitment process for senior and junior level staff
Development, implementation and management of the relocation process for global expatriates into UAE - junior & senior staff
Delivery of 360 degree global mobility services for multinational corporations including but not limited to the following:
Implementation and management of client’s international assignment’s policies
Implementation and management of a wide range of international compensation and relocation services such as calculation of allowances, deductions and benefits in accordance with each client’s pre-determined policy
Preparation of assignment package cost estimates, balance sheets, assignment letters and contracts, payroll calculations and instructions
Co-ordination of relocation, tax, immigration and social security services with 3rd party providers
Maintenance of a client specific database and creation of reports with the help of an in-house HR database software
