Assab General Trading (L.L.C) is a subsidiary of an African based trading organisation, AngoEri Comercio Geral Import / Export - LDA. They import different consumer items from South Asia and China and sell them to UAE & African market.
Most recently I got the opportunity to work as head of the team for designing, implementing and supervising new accounting software “Wings-2013 ERP” in our company’s Africa office and its branches and I delivered it with confidence.
Highlights:
• Primarily responsible for preparing financial statements and supporting schedules according to company policy & applicable accounting standards on quarterly and annual basis.
• Preparing accounts reconciliation that includes multi-currency inter-company accounts, reconciliation of supplier accounts, inventory, cash and complex bank reconciliations on monthly basis.
• Cash flow reporting and exception reporting for management purpose.
• Sales & purchase analysis and variance reporting (Item/party/area wise).
• Identification of appropriate KPI’s to monitor and drive improvements accordingly.
• Preparing product wise profitability reports to identify profit/loss items.
• Preparing sales & purchase budgets (Flexed budgets & rolling budgets).
• Involved in review and modifications to accounting policies, procedures and SOP’s of the company.
• Involved in documentation and monitoring of internal controls.
• Assisting with financial audits for internal and external purposes.
• Assisting in selection and training of staff in work procedures; and
• Other assignments given by the management.
Atlas Exports (Private) Limited is a manufacturing concern engaged in manufacturing of leather and cotton products since 1995 and exporting these supreme quality finished products to the well diversified European Market.
Highlights:
• Participate in annual budget planning (CAPEX and OPEX) and ensure implementation to the departments.
• Make regular reports to the management regarding variations from budgets.
• Preparing feasibilities for new projects.
• Managing and reviewing overall working environment of different projects run by the organization.
• Monitoring of general ledger accounting & cash flow reporting.
• Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
• Researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance.
• Statutory reporting to Central board of Revenue.
• Supervise preparation of all export related documents.
• Dealing with export duty taxes of local and foreign countries and following up of rebate claims; and
• Coordinate and discuss the Production Jobs completion on timely basis with Production and Quality Manager.

During my training period as an auditor I performed numerous assignments of Advisory Business & Assurance Services (ABAS). These include full scope audits, limited (half yearly and quarterly) reviews, agreed upon procedures and special assignments in accordance with the regulatory requirements.
