Being a Fire Alarm Engineer approved by the Qatar Civil Defense Department, I have been a part of different projects which dealt with the Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of Fire Alarm & Fire Fighting System for commercial and residential buildings.

Been a part of projects that have both Conventional and Addressable Fire Alarm Systems.

Worked as a Site Engineer in the following projects:

Works include preparation of various technical documents for different projects, such as Distribution Board Schedules, Cable Schedules, Cable Sizing Calculation Report etc. Job includes assisting senior engineers and liaising with clients.

a. Lusail Project:
Preparing Documents for Earthing Calculation of CPC1A & CPC1B Package.

b. CIB 33/11kV Substation Project in Halul Island:
Updating the relevant documents for the project based on the mark ups.

c. Halul Island Subsea Cable Project:
Preparing the Interconnection Schedule for 132kV and 33kV Control Cables and 132kV, 33kV, 415V, 240V AC UPS and 110V DC UPS Power Cables.

d. New Doha Port Project:
Updating the load list and cable schedule for different substation packages.

e. Development of Internal Security Force (ISF)-Duhail Camp:
*Updating the 11kV Power Cable list for volt drop calculations.
*Identification of Substations in Cable Routing Layout, calculating the length of cables and modelling SLD in ETAP for ISF project.
*Learning software called “Cymcap” for Cable Ampacity Calculations.
*Learning “ETAP” (Electrical Transient Analysis Program) for Power System Studies which include Short Circuit Calculations and Load Flow Calculations.
*Learning the installation methods for 11kV cables used in the project.
*Learning the software called “Dialux” for the Lighting Calculations.
*Performing the Earthing, Lighting and Lightning protection calculations for substations of different types.
*Updating the 11kV Distribution Power Cable Schedule.
*Updating the Load Interface Schedule for Storm Water Tanks distributed all over the camp.
f. Qatar Economic Zone 3 (QEZ-3):
*Researching on the various techniques of Load Forecasting such as Computer Simulation Methods, Regression Analysis etc.

1. Updating the documents based on distribution boards present in various offshore platforms:

a. Updating PS-1K offshore platform Distribution Board Schedules:
Checking reference documents obtained from offshore and collating information to revise and reissue the distribution board schedules.

b. Updating PS-1Q offshore platform Distribution Board Schedules:
Reviewing sub-contractor’s as-built marked up drawings, collating information and transferring to the revised original on Autocad.

2. Updating drawings for the Al-Morjan PA/GA system:
Verifying accuracy of information supplied from offshore construction

3. Completed a survey to establish the means of providing a temporary power supply to the new 125VDC switchboard KT-4101 located on PS-1G offshore platform
