 Job responsibilities include inspection of all types of materials in refinery including pipes and fittings, electrical, structural material, instrumentation, refractory, mechanical and safety items against purchase order specification of material, vendor offers, MTC/TPI, PMI test certificate of conformance and usage of material.
 Preliminary Inspection Report regarding quality of material, matching or mismatching of material against purchase order specification and related documents
 Co-ordinate with purchasing division, catalogue engineers with regard to deviations in material specifications, supply of documents, clarifications regarding discrepancy in materials, replacement of rejected materials, over supply of materials.
 Assessment of shelf-life for chemicals, catalysts and refractory material.
 Timely follow up for material discrepancies.
 Maintaining correspondence with the Purchasing Department and vendors in all matters. Monitor measure and take remedial action on issue causing deviation form timeline.
 Conducting team briefing issues for that particular day and reviewing previous day’s activities.
 Participate in Safety training sessions, promotional activities and ensure observation of all KNPC safety regulations by the employees.
