Night Drilling/Workover Supervisor on an offshore jackup rig in Gulf of Suez, Egypt.

- Successfully drilled & completed two new wells (highly deviated with very challenging hole profile (double S-shaped deviated trajectory with BakerHughes AutoTrak® RSS), in depleted reservoir zones with sour environment, Oil-based muds, 9⅝ casing with two-stage cement job with two ACPs (inflatable annulus casing packers), 7'' & 5'' liners, Wireline & TCP perforations, run smart completion, ... )
- Two workover wells (pulled old corroded completion string, fishing, RCT cutter, clean out, TCP perforations, running new completion string).
- Three coiled-tubing clean out wells with nitrified-gel solution.
- Many production surveillance work (PLT, Wireline perforations, slickline gauging, static surveys, ....)
- Two offshore jackup drilling rig moves.

Drilling Engineer \[office based\], in company's headquarter in Cairo, Egypt.

- Worked on planning a highly-deviated complex profile well (S-shape with hold & turn sections) with 17, 400 ft MD, up to 65° Inclination, and high temperature reservoir up to 320 °F.
- Planning & follow-up on execution of a well re-entry (pulled corroded completion, P&A, Whipstock & cased-hole sidetrack, drill thru massive salt section with high mud weight, avoid collision risk with many neighboring wells using SLB PowerDrive® RSS & Mud motors, run 7'' liner, drill thru depleted reservoir section with OBM, cure total mud losses successfully, ran & cemented 5'' liner)

- Conduct feasibility studies on development and exploration drilling options. Prepare well development plans, and detailed drilling programs for various wells.
- Tackle the growing challenges due to maturing fields and assets by challenging the traditional technical paradigms in different phases of drilling the well by introducing new technologies.

Follow BP Policy in NWD (New well delivery process) in well planning tasks such as:
* Study offset wells, analyse and extract problems encountered during drilling in a process to prepare PPFG (Pore Pressure and Fracture Gradient model). And then try to resolve these problems for future work.
* Prepare non drilling surprises panel for risk analysis.
* Follow up on the geomechanical analysis and WellBore Stability Studies.
* Follow up on location preparation (Offshore platforms).
* Revise service companies proposals for Mud, BHA, Bits, ...
* Preparing time and cost estimates for new drilling and workover wells.
* Utilization Halliburton Landmark® software package to perform engineering calculations:
- Compass®: Trajectory planning & optimization, Directional well design
- Well plan®: Torque/Drag, Hydraulics, Surge/Swab, ... modules
- Casing Seat® / Stress Check®: Casing Design.
- Open wells®: Reporting, NPT & performance tracking, explore offset wells, extract data and perform different analyses.
- Well Cost® (Cost estimation & project planning, including NPT & probability calculations)
- Casing Wear® software (to calculate wear in cased-hole sidetrack options)

- Assisted in drilling an exploratory high-angle 16, 000 ft MD Mud-line suspension well (MLH).
- Assisted in drilling an Extended-Reach well (ERD), 21, 000 ft MD with 69° Inclination… considering all associated technologies and ERD drilling practices.

- Assess drilling equipment and services performance and make technical recommendations.
- Prepare material requests & keep updated inventory of all equipment on board, review inspection sheets.
- Daily Cost Tracking.
- Keep a record of different LWD BHAs run in the hole, tool types, depth in/out, circulation/rotating hours, sensor offsets, Max and min flow rates possible, Battery life, Memory capacity, downhole hours.
- Perform daily complete mud tests with mud engineer.
- Update directional drilling tunnel.
- Dull bit grading & bit inspections.
- Keep record of all failures, record down time.
- Maintain BP kick tolerance & kill sheets up to date.
- Witness all pressure tests on cement unit: BOP, FIT/LOT, bridge plugs, WL lubricator, … etc.
- Check casing/liner and accessory totals with drilling program and inventory to ensure all ordered / required items are on board, Check size, weight, grade and thread type of all pipes.
- Prepare casing running tally.
- Make pre/during/post-job checks for casing jobs.
- Complete BP Wellsite cementing checklist.
- Calculate cement displacement volumes, ensure enough cement and chemicals, send samples to lab.
- Assist with translation of key safety messages from the WSL to crew.
- Maintain a filing system for all paperwork related to each well.
