Reporting to the Executive Director & CEO, responsible for managing IT infrastructure, Software Application Implementation and support, development, and implementation of IT Policies & Procedures.
• Responsible for managing the day to day IT operations of the Artan Holding Companies.
• Oversee the IT department operations including IT infrastructure, Communication, ERP, Software Applications, Database, IT Security & Backup & Recovery management.
• Manage overall capacity utilization of Server/Hardware environment ensuring it is optimized to meet Artan’s business requirements
• Oversee outsourced and in-house resources for software development and implementation
• Ensure a proactive approach in staying up-to-date on current projects in progress, projects in the pipeline and operational issues
• Develop and implement hardware and software standards for network, services, databases, wireless technology, file and print services, etc.
• Develop and implement data retention standards & maintain overall backup and recovery strategy (Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity)
• Overall responsibility for strategic planning for system upgrades and ERP implementation.
Al Jaber Group is the one of the biggest diversified organizations(more than 20, 000 employee’s) within Qatar having operation in Trading, Construction, Infrastructure, Contracting, Hospitality, Heath, Retail, Steel Manufacturing and Investment. I have set up the entire infrastructure for the Group ERP System implementation followed by setting up the team to Implement, support the ERP and other applications for the Al Jaber Group of Companies. On the JDE implementation, as the Program Manager in the First Phase concentrating on the JD Edwards ERP Application implementation for the Group which will be followed by setting up centralized IT operation for the group and appropriate IT services to be provided to the Group of Companies.
.Addax was established in 2003 with Wholesale Banking License in Bahrain and I am with the bank right from the start. Joined as an IT Officer and was promoted to IT Manager with the responsibility of setting up the entire infrastructure for the bank and slowly built the team over the years. I was then promoted to be the Head of IT with all IT operations responsibility. I directly report to the Top Management, the Bahrain Banking Regulatory Authority( CBB) on IT Audit & Compliance related issues.
I have done end to end IT projects for the Bank’s Subsidiary Companies and Subsidiary bank that was setup outside Bahrain. This also involved first getting the necessary Infrastructure setup ready, building the team and eventually handing over to the respective entity once it was operational.
