Job Description:
• Perform advanced troubleshooting on equipment families according to customer requirements as well as Wärtsilä quality, health, safety, environment guidelines and cost targets & site procedures. Prepare Job Safety Analysis for every job and submit Near-miss to We-Care (Wärtsilä on-line tools).
• Proactively advice and promote available products and solutions to customers impact.
• Perform Field Service activities according to the work plan and perform vital role for Warranty issue.
• Act as system commissioning engineer and lead the related commissioning activities.
• Perform internal and external progress status of the assigned work and create Service Work Report.
• Specify new products, processes, standards based on organization strategy or set short- to mid-term operational plans.
· Head of Electrical of core maintenance team in North Sudan region.
· Prepare Risk Assessment in every job, issuing and verifying LOTO in every job.
· Work all pump stations in order to customer requirement or maintenance schedule.
· Direction and supervision of electrical instrumentation & automation job.
· Responsible for all Electrical & Instrumentation works in all major overhauling/ major PMS.
· Prepare maintenance schedules for plant machinery. Make and execute of work orders like Autonomous, Predictive, Preventive, Corrective maintenance.
· Making spare parts list support to logistic & warehouse to maintain optimum stock level of general & critical spares.
• Perform all safety aspects as Line Manager. Prepare Risk Assessment in every job, verifying LOTO. Oblige to regular employee to maintain personal safety, working at height safety, working at confine area safety. Ensure performance of all smoke & heat detectors, fire extinguisher, fire alarm, fire fighting and fire hydrant system.
• Responsible for direction and supervision of electrical maintenance operation. Rising, Executing Work Orders using ERP Software PMS.
• Ensure plant reliability in order to Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation. Prepare maintenance schedules for plant machinery consult with O&M Manager and Plant Manager. Make, execute & implement of work orders like Autonomous, Predictive, Preventive, Corrective maintenance.
• Special input in Switch yard at HV Distribution system, HV, MV & LV Lines, GSUT, Station Transformers, SF6 Breakers, VCB, ACB, MCCB, different type of Generator, Transformer, Motor Management relays and different type of protection relays. Providing support for shift maintenance, trouble shooting as required/requested. Ensure performance and calibrate maintaining manufacturer recommendation of all electrical instruments, testing/measuring meters, different type of tester, calibrator, analyzer, etc.
• Prepare machinery performance, status, shutdown/breakdown, etc report with valuable recommendation. Follow-upping the problems reported by operation.
• Making spare parts list support to logistic & warehouse to maintain optimum stock level of general & critical spares. Check quality and assist procurement to select workshop or contractors which are suitable for supplying better service.
• Work on resource development with job training program for the client’s staff, including evaluation, and functional supervision/direction of the client’s staff.
• Participate as vital member of different RCA (Root Cause Analysis). Oblige to regular employee to maintain personal safety, working at height safety, working at confine area safety.
• Ensure plant reliability in order to Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation. Prepare maintenance schedules for plant machinery consult with Maintenance Manager and Task Order Manager. Make, execute & implement of work orders like Autonomous, Predictive, Preventive, Corrective maintenance.
• Plant modification and improved operating efficiency. New project implementation, Project administration & financial aspects. Work in CAPEX related work. Making/checking project profile, budget, identify different aspects, comprise different bidders, evaluate technical & financial issue of the bidders, project supervise, follow-up, and implement. Prepare scope of work and Bill of materials in new Projects.
• Prepare and sending daily report and maintain daily log in history log file.
• Issue local/overseas Purchase Request. Directly involve with procurement provide product/item source. Check availability of spares and issue the spares and always in touch to maintain elite inventory.
• Maintenance cost reduction but not compromising with plant reliability.
Achieve set kWh/ton while ensure plant reliability in order to Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation. Prepare maintenance schedules for plant machinery consult with Sr. Maintenance Manager and Operational Director.
Using ERP software J.D. Edward (JDE) make, execution & implementation of all Work order.
To ensure plant hazard free and get optimum score in FM Global*, coordinate with all external authorities regularly and update all data. Do priority basis job on basis of FM recommended “Grading Form” where describe Facility Hazards and Equipment Hazards.

Making and implementing of SOP (Safe Operating Procedure). Perform all safety aspects as Line Manager. To alert people regarding safety submit “Near Miss Hazard Alert”
Ensure performance of all smoke & heat detectors, fire extinguisher, fire alarm, fire fighting and fire hydrant system. Ensure personal safety matters while ware PPE (Personal Protective Elements).
Coordinate with local Caterpillar agent for spare, periodic maintenance, time to time communication for free servicing at warranty period.
Ensuring Gas Generator operation and maintaining relationship with local Power station REB (Rural Electrification Board) and Gas Supply Company
Prepare machinery performance, status, shutdown/breakdown, etc report with valuable recommendation.
Special input for plant modification and improved operating efficiency.
Planned maintenance preparation and execution of Preventive maintenance schedule with respective sectional heads. Analysis and prepare plant maintenance cost included in yearly fixed cost budget.
Make purchase requisition and purchase order through JDE. Check and maintain spare inventory
Conceptualize, Design & Execution of automation to reduce manpower and better operation flexibility or reliability.
Providing support for shift maintenance, trouble shooting.
Breakdown elimination and down time reduction by arranging schedule maintenance. Planned electrical maintenance schedule for all plant machinery in consultation with Assistance General Manager Technical.
Supported by a group of electrical maintenance engineer and a team of shift operators, Sub-Asst. Engr. Electrician, utility operators (pump & compressor).
Responsible for electrical, instrumentation and Automation of all plant machinery.
Asset care: - Critical machinery & Equipment e.g. mill main motor, PLC (Siemens Simatic S7200, 300 & 400) backup program, SCADA software (Siemens WinCC) Inverter (Siemens, LG, ABB, FUJI) generator, compressor, etc.
Providing support for shift maintenance, trouble shooting as required/requested.
Conducting system study using appropriate tools/technique for need assessment for balancing, decongestion and plan modification works.
