• Manage Tabreed’s insurance portfolio in the UAE and GCC region.
• Act as insurance adviser to companies outside UAE or the global programme to ensure that their risks have been properly identified and managed in the most cost effective manner.
• Protect the assets of the organization against insurable loss through the purchase of insurance or the selection of other financing methods to use the most efficient methods of risk financing
• Study the indemnity / liability /Insurance section(s) under Tabreed’s contracts to understand where the liabilities lies and accordingly to coordinate with the broker to arrange adequate insurance to meet the contractual requirements.
Compliance with Tabreed Contractual Terms & Policies
• Coordinate with relevant Stakeholders and Subsidiaries on their insurance requirements.
• Coordinate with insurance broker appointed by Tabreed on the renewal of property all risk, third party liability insurance, construction all risk, group medical, group life, Guidance and support in O&M HR Policies & Procedures
workman compensation, professional indemnity, directors and officers and other insurance policies as necessary.
• Review and negotiate policy terms with insurance broker and insurance provider.
• Review the policy document received from the broker/insurer to ensure the terms conform with negotiated offer
• Achieve cost savings / optimization through effective negotiation with insurance broker.
• Review Brokerage Agreement with the broker, negotiate terms and conditions and ensure full compliance and adherence to Tabreed contractual provisions.
• Provide supporting documents, cost analysis, estimates of claims value and negotiate with Loss Adjustor / Insurer.
• Coordinate with Projects department on the placement of construction all risk insurance requirements.
• Provide regular reports on insurance policies and claims.
• Maintain insurance register of all insurance policies.
• Organize regular meetings with Loss Adjustor, Insurance Broker and O&M department to follow up on insurance claims and assign actions to relevant parties.
• Liaise with Insurance Broker on District Cooling site surveys, risk identification, mitigation and overall risk assessment.
• Perform an asset valuation survey through competitive bidding with local/international consultants.
