• Lead and own the Annual Plan process through to agreement of Performance target ensuring the plan context, process, timetable and requirements are adequately communicated to the organization.
• Monitor progress against PC through performance management process, ensuring risks and options are properly identified and communicated to management team.
• Manage all accounting operations including Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, P&L, Balance Sheet and General Ledger. Oversee and manage integration of the organization's accounting system.
• Manage the implementation of internal controls and strengthening HQ oversight over the Business Units in line with the approved internal controls framework.
• Analyze key operating activities and identify the improvement areas for developing control measures specific to those areas.
• Ensure timely clarification of general and specific inquiries from the business and provide professional advice on financial control issues.
• Provide support to the business, a constructive challenger to the rest of the management team, to stimulate ideas and enable the decision-making process.
• Lead and develop the finance team to ensure adequate understanding and professional capabilities.
• Handle all tax matters with the tax advisors and the concerned authorities.
• Prepare financial reports as required by Management & head office in Canada, including monthly & annual financial statements (such as Balance sheet, Income statement & Cash Flow).
• Prepare budgets and compare budgeted & AFE’s costs to actual costs, and reporting and analyze the variances.
• Lead the annual external audit process with the Auditors.
• Implementation of new ERP system "IDEAS - P2Energy"
